Remember the movie Khoobsurat with Sonam Kapoor and the ever so hot Fawad Khan? Well, this good-looking couple chose that particular palace- Laxmi Niwas Palace in Bikaner to tie the knot and it provided a refreshing, gorgeous backdrop. The happy extravaganza is all about moulding contemporary ideas into a traditional royal wedding - with beautiful pool decor, poems by E.E.Cummings and a happy bride. Take a look at the beautiful pictures by WeddingNama★ 5 to know more about this amazing wedding!
Meet Arjun & Sweta
"We were introduced by a common friend, Hema Sree, who was visiting Bombay from London. We later found out that we were both in London around the same time, had almost the same circle of friends but still never crossed paths. But no complaints - finding love in Bombay beats finding love in London hands down" says Sweta happily.

From The Bride:
"Both of us were very sure that we wanted the wedding to be royal, elegant and traditional. We were very close to finalising Jodhpur when someone suggested that we try Laxmi Niwas Palace in Bikaner. As soon as we entered the palace grounds, we knew we had found our destination. Even though the palace has been featured in Bollywood movies such as Band, Baaja Baraat and Khoobsurat, there aren’t many weddings that take place in the palace. But we were quite stoked about having the wedding in Bikaner - it was a destination not many people have in mind when they think of Rajasthan and that made it all the more exciting" adds Sweta.
"We must have met more than ten planners but worst of all, we didn’t like a single one of them. Rishi and Yamini from The Wedding Designers were a godsend. It literally took us ten minutes to decide that they would be the ones who would make our wedding come alive. And in hindsight, apart from the decision to get married, it was probably the best decision we ever took! Rishi and Yamini are passionate, extremely creative, uber helpful but most importantly, the two nicest people you can hope to meet. We still don’t know how they managed it but what we do know is that we consider ourselves very fortunate that Rishi and Yamini were there to oversee every detail of our wedding because it truly gave us that rare opportunity - as the groom and bride - to just take a back seat and enjoy our wedding" explains Sweta. "After all the processions and the rituals, the baraat and the pheras, what really stay behind are the memories. And when it comes to capturing your most cherished moments for posterity, no one does it better than Ankita and Akash of WeddingNama. Their photographs are alive with vibrancy and we still don’t know how they captured every minute detail of our wedding with such love and compassion. Without a doubt, one of the best decisions of our pre-married lives was to have Ankita and Akash catalogue our wedding and we couldn’t have been more delighted by their excellent work" says Sweta.
