It's not the number of outfits one sports or the most expensive resorts one works with but the number of ideas one comes up with and how different they are from each other. Nothing showcases that theory better than the meticulous details this pretty wedding came with. First of all, the location - Fairmont Jaipur is a winner on all counts - royal and regal. And then, it was the pretty themes that got us at hello - a pretty vintage theme, a Disney-inspired Mehendi and the most beautiful vidaai. Photography by Aviraj Saluja Photography is as gorgeous as they come!

Meet Savleen & Harman

"Being a classic Disney princess fan, I wanted nothing less than a dreamy fairytale wedding with a royal twist. Well, this fairytale wedding finally became real, when I met the perfect Punjabi Munda. Someone who wasn’t as filmy as me, but definitely believed in achieving perfection" says Savleen.

From The Bride:

We choose Fairmont Jaipur as our ideal destination wedding spot for the Big Day and yes, I still believe that we couldn’t have got a more beautiful place. When you think of Jaipur, the entire idea of a grand and royal wedding just slips in quite easily. Along with maintaining the authentic Punjabi touch to our wedding, I really wanted some elements of vintage style in the decor.

Mehendi

We had four main functions, first being the Mehendi, where I decided to go with the classic and floral lehenga by Anushree Reddy. Nobody does Mehendi outfits the way Anushree does. Kept this look even more fun with the floral jewelry from Floral Art by Shristi.  The Disney princess-inspired side braid with flowers was definitely the highlight for this look.

For Harman, we went ahead with a printed bandi and a teal green combination from SVA couture, that he styled amazingly well with this hot pink turban!

Not to forget we also had cocktails named after us that was made with our personal favorite combinations.

Sangeet/Engagement

Post the colorful Mehendi, we had a power-packed sangeet, with amazing performances, the baarat and the ring ceremony, with the weddings rings mounted on the cake itself.

For the sangeet, I opted for an ivory lehenga with the most beautiful zari work. This was an off-shoulder choli with scallop detailing, this was bought from Frontier Raas. For the groom,it was a classic black velvet sherwani from SVA couture. Classic, precise and yes printed churidar that added much-needed drama to the entire look.

Wedding/Brunch

For the pheras, I opted for the classic red lehenga, this lehenga is from Sabyasachi’s old collection, as subtle, beautiful and elegant as it can get. The thread work on the lehenga literally makes this even more prettier. I wanted to make sure that I opt for something light and vintage. For the groom, he went ahead with the most classic, ivory sherwani from Sabyasachi too.

Post the wedding we had a classic vintage and champagne-themed brunch, with floral decorations and yes a specially curated menu with my and Harman’s favorite dishes.

At the poolside brunch, I wore my most favorite Sabyasachi powder pink lehenga one that I call my dream outfit. Quickly replaced the tied hair with the vintage retro curls and nude makeup. Perfect to make the brunch look even more on point yet relaxed.

Reception

The reception definitely closed the celebrations with a bang! From the classic interiors, black tie theme and a superb performance by Jaz Dhami. For the reception I literally got a chance to live my princess dreams, with the superb sparkly eye makeup by Hriya and the high ponytail with curls by Ritika, I couldn’t have asked for a better look.

For this function, I got a beautiful pink gown from Soltee by Sulakshana Monga. After searching all over Mumbai finally got this exquisite piece from Delhi! While Harman got himself a classic black tuxedo from Hugo Boss, well fitted, and effortlessly stylish.
