There is a certain charm day weddings come with - the morning light gives them a dreamy vibe and pictures come out so beautiful. And if the bride sparkles in an Anita Dongre with pretty kundan jewellery and rustic decor, then it definitely is a treat for the eyes. We are absolutely in love with the kaleere decor and the burlap drapes along with the cute crates of florals - all of the beauty carefully captured by Tuhina Chopra Photoworks★ 5 .
Meet Amrita & Ashutosh
"Ashutosh and me met through a common friend, we shared similar passions like travelling, staying fit and liked each others company a lot. Things started moving when we both attended a marathon event and we got together. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for my family who took care of every wish of mine and gave me all the love and affection" explains Amrita.
The Mehendi & Sangeet
The Wedding
From The Bride:
"We always wanted to have a day wedding. The reason behind it is that night weddings are methodical. Guests come, have dinner and rush back - they miss out on the complete fun because of late nights and things. Our families though wanted a very sober and a graceful function. So best of both worlds - we decided to have all the loud boisterous things at our Sangeet and keep the Wedding a quiet and relaxed affair. It was fun too - we had guests enjoy all the ceremonies, sit back, enjoy good food coupled with soft music. Our major splurge was on the quality and taste of the food to be served in the wedding complimented by soft ambience and decor. Our guests till date miss our wedding décor and food………." sighs Amrita.
"Now to my outfits and makeup - I was lucky to have a team of artists whom I knew since flair for make-up. I had specifically asked them to give me a natural and fresh look, without any overdose of cakey make-up. However, my look for each event right from my hairdo, face upto nail paint was decided by my sister, which then was materialised by my make-up artists. As for my husband, Ashutosh was always a casual comfort dresser so, it was important for both of us to hunt for semi casual outfits for him. He decided to opt for a modified urban achkan with aligarhi pyjamas. After days of futile and frantic hunting in markets and various stores, he designed his dress and got it stitched from The Narains, Lajpat Nagar. He wore an ivory shade kurta- pyjama and achkan which blended perfectly with his bearded looks. I wore Anita Dongre in an off-beat hue, loved the customisation," she adds, happily.
