Its Volume 3 of our Sister of the bride series, and after our Style Fiesta tryst with Mumbai last time, we are back in delhi and peeping into the wardrobe of Mandira who was a recent sister of the bride (As recent as Feb 2014). We loved her fun, vibrant color choices on her sisters wedding- specially the blush and turquoise saree, the orange lehenga ... as well how she experimented with her hair ! More girls need to try braids we say!

Meet Mandira

We asked her  about her sisters wedding and the most fun moments from there. Mandira recounts "There were many unforgettable moments such as, the huldat, when all the unmarried girls willingly sat in a line, making a long que, hoping the kalira wud drop on their heads. It was a funny and a fun filled moment. I made my brother in law (Prateek) also sit in the line ;) Then there was another time when we had the dholki at our place after the dance practices which was a surprise for Nitya (The bride).  Everyone'a crazy sides came out after popping in a few beers and dholki in the midst of prank filled dance practices. Then there was the wedding itself. The pheras. It was pretty cold with mist falling on us in the open. The most memorable moment was seeing my brother in law- Dhruv, fill Sindoor on my sisters forehead. In the peak chilly winters of February, at the  outdoor pheras, I did not feel cold one bit even without a shawl. Bu when that moment happened a sudden chill went down my spin- with the realisation that my kid sister was all grown up!"

The Sangeet

A blush pink and aqua saree for the Sangeet. The colors are so pretty, and floral print peeks through. FYI- thats the gorgeous bride in red! This is by Peppermint Diva.
