Sister Of The Bride Style – Meet Yasmin!

Bridesmaids style is evolving and how! No sister of the bride, groom or even best friend picks up any outfit without carefully thinking about the look she wants to create with it. And being a sister you also get a chance to experiment with silhouettes and colours that every bride can’t! So when we saw Yasmin’s looks for her sister’s weddings, we knew that she created all those stylish looks with a certain style guide. Want to know what it was? Lets see what she has to say about it!
Meet Yasmin
Look 1 – Mehendi
For this backyard function, I chose to do a light coloured lehenga from MonikaNidhii The lehenga had a mirrored blouse with a low back and a printed bottom. I thought it was super unique and perfect for an outdoor garden themed mehendi. Usually people choose to do a colourful outfit for the mehendi, but I decided to go for a more muted colour that looked beautiful in the outdoors. I added some colour to the look with a red lip and wore my hair in a side braid with fresh baby’s breath. Both my earrings and necklace were from Anita Dongre . I thought the statement necklace worked perfectly with the lower neckline of the blouse.
Look 2 - Sangeet
As soon as I saw this hot pink mirrored Abhinav Mishra lehenga, I knew it had to be mine for the sangeet. The cream blouse with a low back and mirrored detail along with the heavily mirrored pink bottom worked perfectly for the theme of dhol, dhamaka, and dance! I complimented the outfit with loose waves and kundan tikka and earrings from Ishwar Jewellers;
Look 3 – Maiyan
This was definitely my favourite look of the week! It was so light, airy, and fresh. For the maiyan, I opted for a soft Mahima Mahajan floral lehenga with a gorgeous pearl detail bustier top. The outfit fit like a glove as soon as I tried it on and I thought it was perfect for the outdoor barbeque themed maiyan. I wore dangling earrings from Ogaan and went for soft glowy makeup and a braided updo with fresh baby’s breath.
Look 4 – Wedding
For the wedding, I chose to go for a more traditional look that I thought gave me major Deepika vibes. I went with a lehenga that Deepika actually wore in the movie Padmavaat from Rimple and Harpreet Narula The double longer blouse and traditional embroidery made this outfit super unique. I paired the look with a slick side bun as well as a pasa and earrings from Ishwar Jewellers;
Look 5 – Reception
Definitely the most grand of my looks - I decided to end the week off with a bang! I went with this incredible Tarun Tahiliani lehenga with a gorgeous beaded blouse and draped dupatta. I wanted to keep the look fresh and young so I went with a big textured high pony and golden and black smokey eye. I wore black and gold earrings from Sunita Shekhawat Jewellery .
