Our Founder & Editor-in-chief has had a busy wedding season attending close weddings in the family, in Goa & Jodhpur and we thought its about time we revive this feature! Over to Mehak.
The Pool Party Mehendi: Goa
For the pool party mehendi in Goa, I wanted something comfortable, simple but still mehendi appropriate. While visiting some exhibitions I found this pale tiffany blue colored draped outfit in georgette. I loved the silhouette and bought it instantly, as I fell for the color.
Outfit from: Shalini & Gaurav. Price: Approx 11K
Cocktail Night: Goa & Jodhpur
Given that I had two different weddings to attend, I wanted to make outfits that would work for both and this was by far my favourite of all my outfits. A navy blue raw silk skirt with a white crop top and a sheer cape with sequins. My cousin and I co-ordinated this outfit and just switched up our blouses. I added a chunky necklace to add some life to the neckline which was really plain and just simple slicked back hair.
Outfit from: Salt & Spring, Shahpur Jat. Price: Approx 28K
Wedding Day: Jodhpur
For the wedding day in Jodhpur, it was a regal affair at Umaid Bhawan. I knew I wanted a lehenga but something appropriate for the sister and nothing too heavy. I love pastels and this fit the bill
Outfit from: Anarkali, Karol Bagh.
Reception: Goa
The reception in Goa was a seated, western style affair and the dress code was gowns! I had worn this gown for my own engagement function and this was the perfect time to reuse it. This outfit instantly makes me feel like a princess, and I'm so glad I got a chance to wear it again after my wedding.
Outfit from: Suneet Varma
Not just the outfits, but we absolutely loved her makeup too!
