Introducing our New Series "Sister of the Bride Style" : Meet Juhi

Our new feature focuses on the supporting cast at an Indian wedding (and dare I say sometimes these guys outshadow the rest ;) ). The sisters of the bride / groom, the mothers of the bride/ groom and even the brothers !! A peek into their style statements and what they wore on their sister/ brothers big day. Lets face it though- sisters kind of make the wedding complete. They give you a thumbs up sign from behind the Makeup artist when you cant see yourself in the mirror, they get you water on stage, they carry your lipgloss/vaseline in their bag for frequent touch ups and make sure they sufficiently annoy the groom for joota-chupai money :)

Meet Juhi

She is actually a design intern herself, and retails her own label (she should be up soon on our Vendor Guide) . Her sister Simran got married about a year ago and we asked her what she wore to her wedding !! For the Kirtan at home, before the partying began Juhi wore a Peach embroidered Anarkali from Swati Ubroi in Jaipur . Love the chikan work suit the bride is wearing too (Shall get you details on that!) For the mehendi event , she chose this Vibrant blue raw silk straight kurta with embroidered Pallazos and  a lemon yellow dupatta  from another Jaipur designer Nidhi Tholia . (If you guys are Gota Patti fans, then Nidhi Tholia's store would be like a dream come true for you!). We love the styling of the hair as - the flowers in the braid are very pretty and we love pretty much all Pakistan inspired Silhouettes so this one is no different.  

  For the morning wedding day, Juhi wore a chic white Gota Patti anarkali with an attached short Jacket. Love the white and pink colors and the jewellery ! In lust with those earrings ! This too was from Nidhi Tholia in Jaipur ! Psst- the bride wore the PRETTIEST orange and pink anarkali from Swati Ubroi  which you may see soon on the blog !
