Sister Of The Bride Style: Meet Devika!

So remember this recent bride who took over Instagram with her pretty outfits and unique bridal looks? Yes, Neha wowed us as it is, but we are also blown away with her sister Devika, who was the ideal sister of the bride! She wore some gorgeous outfits and accessorised it to the T, and her makeup game was on point as well thanks to Pakhi Pahuja ! So we asked Devika for a breakdown of each of her looks, and here it is!
Meet Devika
So sisters of future brides-to-be, take some inspiration!
Look 1: Youngsters- Cream & baby pink gown by a boutique in London
Theme being 'Into The Wild' gave me the chance to interpret this in my own way. I took a spin on this and chose to wear a relatively simple cream and baby pink beaded gown paired with a vibrant printed clutch from Alexander McQueen and statement earrings. The dress and earrings are both from a boutique in London.
Look 2: Sangeet- Hot pink mirror work lehenga by Suneet Verma
With the theme of the night being Glitz and Glam, and with Suneet Verma being a designer I rigorously follow on Insta, I knew just what I was looking for. Sangeet being the event that’s full of dance, sparkle and glam- I wanted to get a lehenga that brought all 3 together in a glamorous way. In the end I chose a hot pink lehenga with all over mirror work from Suneet Varma's collection, paired with a polki mangtikka and earrings. As the lehenga itself had so much work on it, I chose to keep the jewellery to a minimum and let the lehenga do most of the talking!
Look 3: Mehendi- Baby pink chikanwork lehenga from Lucknow
With dad being from Jaipur, and mom being from Lucknow- I think we had pleased dad enough with Neha having the wedding in Jaipur which is why I chose to get a chikan work lehenga from Lucknow for the mehendi function. For this outfit, I knew I wanted something elegant with a hint of flare which is why I chose to go with a backless beaded blouse and an all over baby pink lehenga (if you haven’t guessed yet, pink is my fav colour haha). I paired the relatively simple look with chandbalis and a necklace- I think this was my personal favourite look!
Look 4: Raat Ki Baraat- Colourful lehenga by Anju Modi
The theme for tonight was all things Moroccan, which is why I chose to keep the make up heavy along with the outfit. My make up artist for all the functions was Pakkhi (who I think did an insane job of capturing each look perfectly)- we went with heavy smoky eyes and relatively soft hues for the rest of the face. My outfit was from Anju Modi and I think the colours, work and over all look of the outfit was perfect for the theme of the night. For jewellery, we chose a polki neckpiece, earrings and mang tikka!
Look 5: Anand Karaj- Turquoise blue saree by Rabani and Rakha
For the main wedding day, as I had worn lehenga for every other function- I decided to go a different route. Neha wanted to keep the tones light and fresh as it was a day wedding which is why I opted for this turquoise blue sari from Rabani and Rakha's collection. The sari was perfect for the occasion as it modernised the general everyday sari with its flare and beautifully beaded blouse and pallu which stood out most to me. I went for bright lips and a statement necklace to add that extra element of glam.
Look 6: Reception- Green floral lehenga from Varun Bahl
For the last day of wedding celebrations I wore a floral lehenga from Varun Bahl paired with some traditional Jaipur jewellery.
My make up was done by Komal Gulati Bridal Makeup for the reception day whereas all other days was with Pakkhi.
