Sabyasachi's NEW 2017 Udaipur Collection : All the Pictures Inside
|
|
In a brides world, there are few things more exciting than a new Sabya collection, and when he unveils it on Instagram, with tons of drool worthy photos - well then that's a day to bookmark in your calendar, grab your low fat popcorn and watch with peeled eyes. But worry not incase you missed it, because we got the entire spring summer line by the man below .
If these are anything to go by it looks like florals are here to stay, that asymettric lehenga panels (with different work on each panel) is going to be HUGE this year and that Banarasi fabrics in pastel and medium tones will continue to rule.
PS: One issue only- the styling is ALWAYS the same. Wish he switched that up a bit. (Do like the new style of dupatta drape though)
This is The Signature Piece
Which, along with this one is called The Udaipur Lehenga
Floral Print with Mosaic Borders
The mosaic borders continue as the floral print becomes more english influenced
So English influenced that its called "Rani Sahiba ke Pardesi Gulab"
This exquisite cape saree, literally took our breath away.
Paler hues are perfect for engagements
The Banarsi skirts have different fabrics on each panel
Which is a recurring theme throughout the collection
Hues of Indigo feature prominently in the collection - a pallette he hasn't used too frequently in the past.
Along with rich Jade greens
The 'Sheesh Mahal' line has richer, more ornate embellishments
There are more grooms in pink than brides ! Plus The grooms banarsi safas are love.
The bridal line Signing off with some stunning blouses in this collection
Our favourite pieces:
- We love the mosaic borders on lehengas- we haven't seen them before and they are super unique.
- The rich jade green and striking violets are a welcome relief from the lines of pastels we have seen all of last year
- The blouses are definitely worth a mention. Sheer, sexy , and not what Sabyasachi usually does . His usual choli cut blouses have given way to more modern ones.
- The multi-panel lehengas (which have different work on each panel) are lovely and specially the banarsi ones with different prints on each panel
- Grooms with banarasi safas = favourite !
- The bridal line in red is not our favourite, but the rest of the collection definitely held a mark !
