Review Policies for Users

We love to hear from our users about their experiences with their vendors. In the wedding industry, the only yardstick to measure the quality of services is by honest user reviews and WedMeGood prides itself in ensuring authentic and genuine reviews that can help engaged couples make better hiring decisions. As a platform committed to showcasing genuine & authentic reviews, we request our users to abide by the following guidelines.

1. Minimum Characters: To make sure that your reviews are self-explanatory & helpful, we suggest you share your experience in detail with a minimum of 60 characters.

2. Personal & Original: Your reviews should be original & from your personal experience with a vendor. If you saw a makeup artist's work online & love it, please don't write that as a review. Writing reviews - positive or negative, based on no personal experience, would be rejected by our team.
3. One experience, one review: If you had a fantastic or horrible experience with your photographer, please feel free to write an elaborate review. However, we would not allow reviews from friends, relatives, spouse etc, that talk about the same experience. You can collate views and mention everything in a single review. This ensures a fair weightage is given to a single review and a reviewer is not unfairly benefitted or penalized based on one experience alone.
4. Reviewing a Vendors Policy:  Would you review a Chinese restaurant, saying it's bad because it does not serve Indian? Writing a review with respect to something that is a vendor policy is akin to the same. For eg: Certain vendors meet by appointment only. If you were to walk in without an appointment and then write a review about having to wait and not being served- that is unfair to the vendor.  As small business owners, vendors have a range of policies which we try and ensure are showcased on the profiles. If you come across a policy that is not mentioned on the WedMeGood profile, please bring it to our notice and we will ensure we add it.
5. Vendor Responsiveness: While we understand that not hearing back from a vendor can be frustrating and makes a vendor seem unprofessional, writing a review for the same when a vendor has not been booked is currently not allowed. Just the same way a 5 star review for a vendor who always picks up calls is not allowed. This is because in many cases vendors are travelling, shooting, out of reach etc and it is impossible for us to judge each situation as different from the rest. However we understand the fact that this detail must be captured to help other users and we save all such reviews into a responsiveness score. This score reflects how poorly or efficiently a vendor responds. If you are finding it difficult to touch base with the vendor , let us know and we will definitely put you in touch with them
6. Editing Review & Rating: You do have an option to edit your review & rating after posting. Since your reviews play such an important role in helping other users make a decision, we request that you always post honest reviews & rating.
7. Deleting Reviews: You do not have the option to delete your reviews on your own. In case you would like to get a particular review removed, please write to us with the reason for deleting, at info@wedmegood.com.
8. Disputed Reviews: Disputed reviews are rare cases in which the vendor claims that he was never hired by the reviewer and the reviewer is fake. We have internal checks and balances that help verify such claims. However, in some cases where we are unable to verify the same, we reach out to you to furnish some proof of your association with the vendor - these could be WhatsApp screenshots/ emails/messages etc. Once we establish that the vendor was in fact hired by the reviewer, the review stays.

In case of legal disputes, WedMeGood has the authority to mask the contents of the review until further notice.
9. Writing Reviews to solicit benefits: Writing a review to solicit undue benefits or money from the vendor is not acceptable. A reviewer who is willing to change his version of events on the basis of monetary compensation is not an authentic reviewer. If the same is brought to our notice, we would be forced to take the review down.
10. Abusive language: We understand that a wedding is the most important day of a couple's life and a poor experience with any of the vendors can leave a bad aftertaste. However, we suggest that you refrain from using abusive/hateful language in your review as the same might be edited or removed altogether.
11. Sharing a Business Experience: Reviews on our platform are to help brides & grooms make better decisions. Therefore, the only relevant reviews for them would be those submitted by other clients. If you're a vendor & have had a business association with another vendor, this might not be the platform to share your experience.

12. Booking a Vendor without Payment: As per general vendor policies, a booking is only confirmed once a certain amount of payment is processed in lieu of the booking. In the absence of such a transaction, review disputes become very difficult for the WMG team to verify and the review may not be treated as a valid review basis internal criteria.

13. Reviewing a Vendor you haven't booked: While we do allow users to share reviews for experiences where they haven't booked the vendor, when the same is disputed, we need to check for proofs of interaction to validate the review.

14. Review Duration: While we do understand that a poor/good experience on your momentous day lasts for a lifetime. However, a user would be able to review a vendor only in a span 2 years from when the services are hired so as to ensure authenticity and freshness of data.

15. Data Confidentiality: In cases of disputed reviews, a user is liable to share verification proof to support his/her stance. Since we respect the user's privacy, WedMeGood will ensure that any verification proof shared by the reviewer to verify the claims would not be shared with the vendor. Total confidentiality of the reviewer's details and evidences would be maintained, unless the consent for the same has been provided by the reviewer.

If your review doesn't match up to our content guidelines, we reserve the right to take action as we deem necessary. This could include altering or deleting your reviews, with or without notice. We also make use of some automated filters to ensure there are no 2 reviews for the same vendor, from the same IP.

If you feel your review was deleted in error, email us at reviews@wedmegood.com
