Varun says “She, my wife now, is a very private person. Doesn’t like a lot of big gestures but is a sucker for all things romantic. So I arranged a private dinner on a yacht near Gateway and wrote her a poem (which was quite lame!) and then popped the question. She loved the fact that I took the efforts of writing the poem and selecting all the right food items!” Kedar says “She is a big fan of the Bride Wars movie. So I took inspiration and popped the question in front of the telly with fortune cookies. She couldn’t believe that I actually watch a chick-flick for her!!” Karan says “I am an extremely lazy person. We dated for 7 years before we tied the knot so I was so used to her helping me do everything since college so she wasn’t expecting anything. But I thought that this was the one time I had to kick ass at! I made a video montage with all our friends and family speaking about her – like what a beautiful person she is – and at the end I went down on one knee with a Tiffany ring that she loved and had shown me some 5 years back. She was sobbing when she said yes!”

Shardul says “Ours was an arranged marriage but we had decided to date before we told our families the final verdict. I fell for her two months into the dating circuit and I always wanted to pop the question before the official formalization. I arranged for a casual dinner with our families – like a fun catch up types. At the end of it I stood up and spoke at length about how incredible lucky I was to find someone I loved through an arranged set up and asked her to marry me.” Vedant says “We both are totally outdoorsy people. So I suggested we do a trek alone – just the two of us – rather than our usual trek group. Once we reached the top, I asked her to open a box of sandwich where the ring box was kept. She bubbled with happiness when I asked her to marry me!” Viraj says “She had gone on an all-girls trip to Paris. I roped in her girlfriends and kept the last night for an Eiffel Tower visit. When they reach ET, I was there with champagne, flowers and a ring. She says the best part was that she had her girls with her to go mad with and me along with that! Needless to say, I still get brownie points for that 4 years into our marriage”
