The pandemic hit us all hard, especially those who were planning to start a new innings of their life. Couples who were planning to tie the knot were in a ditch, with no clarity and lots of uncertainty on when, where and how they would be able to finally get married. Weddings got more intimate with a smaller set of people, but still continued, and that's how things will probably be till we have a cure or a vaccine for COVID. So we decided to ask some lockdown and pandemic brides how they shopped for their wedding, and their answers were as varied as day and night! Take a look for yourselves!

Seema Gujral designs did a commendable job in making me two outfits in the shortest span of a months time, when all the other designers had declined. The online consultation and fittings turned out to be a dream. In fact their services are so prompt and the outfits are nothing less than dreamy.

I rented my bridal outfits from Stage3 Social and Flyrobe. I am a huge believer in sustainable fashion and I was very happy to have found these amazing shops that support this cause and rent out bridal wear. They were very helpful since my mother had to do my first fittings. And I was delighted that I got to wear my dream designer Sabyasachi for two occasions during my wedding.

I was very worried how I would go out picking my bridal outfits during COVID, but while browsing for my wedding ideas, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that WedMeGood has bridal shopping online now too! I filtered my search options and narrowed down on a few outfits that I liked in my budget and directly chatted with the designers to get all the details I needed and customise my outfit to my needs. It was such a godsend for me. Now, I can't wait to wear it for my wedding soon!

I bought my outfit from Torani. I ordered this outfit online and I must say how I've never worn an outfit that fit me this well. I just sent the body measurements and it literally fits me like second skin.

My first bridal outfit was from Sabyasachi. I purchased this via a WhatsApp call with the Mumbai store. They were helpful and made sure I got what I wanted! My second bridal lehenga was designed by my cousin with Mewari motifs. She added our names and important dates as well into the embroidery.

My wedding outfit was from Aynaa World from Mumbai (I found them online and ended up ordering online as well (owing to travel restrictions). They did a wonderful job making my lehenga and kept me in the loop all along. Highly recommended.

My bridal outfit was from Ekaya, who do beautiful handcrafted Banarasi sarees. They do video consultations which is very convenient.
