I found Priti Sahni Designs through another bride’s reference and she is so good. I love how they are so good with trends and even have the latest colours in their designs. I picked up a few pieces for my smaller wedding events and got so many compliments!

There is a designer studio in Vakola called Jiya by Veer Design Studio★ 4.8 This might feel expensive to a lot of brides, it did to me too at first but then I realised that I am looking at only bridal pieces, which are on the higher end. They have a lot of pieces for smaller functions and even trousseau that are quite reasonable if you look at the work. We also loved this a lot because they were willing to customise for us. My sister loved a bridal lehenga but it was too heavy for a sister so they suggested that we do away with 60-70% work on the lehenga which literally cut the price to half.

I love sarees. All types. So my pick would be Gurukripa sarees in Parel, Mumbai. This store will surprise you with their collection. They have all types of sarees. Surprisingly, they have sarees which I have seen in big showroom type stores for 20% less price. I was shocked! The quality and even variety is superb. Love it!

Since I wanted to cut costs on my wedding shopping, I did not visit designer showrooms. But when I found Sudhir Bhai Saree Wale Chandni Chowk★ 4.6 in Chandni Chowk, I think I did a good thing. They have such a big variety of lehengas and the work is amazing. So great!

There is a boutique called Palanquine Boutique which is very good for anarkalis, indo-western outfits and even super light lehengas. I got a lot of stuff from there during my pre-wedding shopping.

I discovered this label and this designer called Anisha Shetty at a bridal exhibition and I don’t know how people don’t know her because her work is fab. From bridal lehengas to simple anarkalis, she is a one-stop shop for almost everything that a bride to be wants and needs.  She even makes cocktail gowns and dresses so no need to run to someone else.
