Bridal shopping can be an expensive affair. With the lehengas, makeup, jewellery, and trousseau – there are plenty of things that a bride needs to shop for on her wedding day. But what is that one bridal investment that you find was worth every penny you invested? Was it your bridal jewellery? Or your lehengas? So we asked real brides who told us their one bridal investment that they believe was worth all the money they invested in it and here’s what they say!

Aaliya says

This is going to be unpopular but I want to say, my makeup artists. I went with some high-end makeup artists because I wanted my look to be perfect and it may sound very frivolous but I was and am so happy that I did that. I looked like a dream on my wedding day and I am so happy I invested that money which made me so happy on all my functions. Trust me, whatever makes you happy on the biggest day of your life is worth it na?

The one bridal investment that was worth every penny was my laser hair removal decision pre-wedding. I got that done and it cost me a lot but it is such a good investment to make on yourself. You don’t have to worry about any salon appointments and painful waxing before your pre-wedding dinners, wedding functions, honeymoon, post-wedding poojas and all it was so good.

Prakruti says

I would say that my jewellery was worth every rupee that I invested in it. I picked up gold jewellery just before the pandemic as we were scheduled to be married in May 2020 but ended up getting married in November 2021 and it appreciated so much during that one year that I find that such a great investment and a good addition to my wardrobe.

A bridal investment I made and would recommend other brides to be too was a good wedding trousseau. A lot of my friends did not make one, relying on gifted sarees and dresses but I would recommend creating your own. I bought a few suits, sarees, kurtas, indo western outfits and post the wedding I was so happy to say that I used them and I felt so happy that I could wear clothes of my choice rather than gifted one.

Sarayu says

It was my air wrap! If you are a bride like me who keeps blow drying her hair in the salon every week this is worth the investment. It's quick and easy. My hair is wavy and thick so styling them otherwise is not much of an issue apart from the fact that it takes time since it's thick. With Dyson, it was really good. I would recommend you go to the store and take a demo before you invest.

Devanshi says

I would say that the best bridal investment I made for myself was investing in solid diamond pieces that I could wear to work – a pair of earrings, ring, bracelet, pearl drops – and buying artificial jewellery for all my wedding functions. That way I got to look and feel like a princess bride and I got my diamond jewellery too which I know I could not buy any other time except at my wedding.
