What's more ironic than meeting your life partner while waiting for your date to show up ? Yup thats how these two cuties met and they recently got engaged . We love Ria's banarsi green lehenga with a fuschia dupatta and all the spunky couple shots where she couldn't keep a straight face.  Photography by Anshum Badoni.

Meet Ria & Shobit

"It was a filmy meeting in all aspects. I was sitting at TownHall in Khan market waiting for a friend. I was sitting at a waiting table when he requested if could sit on it (Shobhit was on a blind date with someone and had reached earlier than he was supposed to) We got talking very randomly and one thing led to another. He told me he has been living in Delhi for two years now and is originally from Pune. After an hour of talking random things, we figured out we have a few common friends, drinks were ordered and our other plans got cancelled. As unreal as it sounds, we feel it was the perfect way for us to meet. Who knew we would be getting married in exactly 15 months of our first meeting! I have always believed in going where my heart takes me, and this risk was so worth it," says Ria.               From The Bride-to-be:  "It was our engagement on the 28th of Aug, it was a small affair with a gathering of 80-90 people, just very close friends and family. It was the perfect pool side venue for the sundowner with fairy lights which was followed by dinner. We both wanted a private affair, we didnt keep any stage for the very same reason. It was a light hearted event with the bride's sister, Ira singing and friends, family dancing and drinking. Just what we wanted," says Ria.  As for the Engagement, it was on the poolside. We had very light decor, fairy lights and white and gold table setting. The venue is so pretty, doesnt need a lot of decking up. My lehenga was a complete hit! Girlfriends messged me from Bombay and Calcutta to ask about it. It was a desginer piece from Meena Bazar. Loved the pista green and fuschia combo, extremely light-weight with zardosi work on the dupatta,"adds Ria.
