What strikes you first at this pretty Punjab  wedding is its consistency. From the decor to the bridesmaids to the groom's outfit and jaimalas - everything is in pastel hues and co-ordinated to the T.  The Venue, The Palms at Zirakpur made for a beautiful day wedding while Photographer Angad of Fairytale Weddings by Angad Sodhi made sure the pictures came out as pretty gorgeous. Special mention to the black and white photographs in this wedding- during the doli, they captured so much emotion and energy.

Meet Pradhi & Harshit

"My husband’s a lawyer so we met 8 years ago on the first day of law school (Punjab University, Chandigarh) where I went only for two days and then changed my course to Economics (Which is walking distance to the law school). Probably it was destined for us to meet - we actually exchanged numbers in those two days. After that day and after numerous amounts of coffees, movie dates, long drives later, he surprised me and takes me to the Taj Mahal (Agra) and kneels down with flowers, champagne and asks me ‘will you marry me ?’ I immediately said yes with tears in my eyes" says Pradhi.

The Wedding

From The Bride:

The basic vision was to have a daytime sunny February wedding! We as Hindus always have night wedding rituals but I was stuck on having a day wedding. I dreamt about wearing a peach lehenga with all my bridesmaids wearing powder blue and the decor to be peach and gold. I wanted flowers, a sunny day, a live band and everything spring-like - it was February after all! The bar was the highlight for both the functions (Engagement and Wedding ). Mehendi, on the other hand, was at the lakeside in Chandigarh with close family and friends. Again the concept was yellow mustard, magenta pink decor with typical Punjabi singers and Punjabi street food where all the family members gathered to dance away to those bhangra beats and boliyaan.

My style for the engagement was simple.I wanted to go over-the-top with my outfit flowing three feet behind me with intricate work all over. I wanted it to be larger than life and exclusive - so I chose a red colour with gold & silver work all over. For the wedding day, I want the Spring-look so I went ahead with a peach with golden zari work lehenga.  I made sure the jewellery was the main highlight and wore white flowers in my hair. I used the WedMeGood app for all my outfit and jewellery inspiration, I used to sit and track updates all the time!
