This one was a classic 2 States wedding situation with the girl being a Malayali and the boy, a Punjabi. South meets North with a healthy sprinkling of international bridesmaids ( can you see in the pics?). Mallika, the Mallu girl (with the prettiest smile ever) and Anup, the Punjab da puttar are well-matched and chilled out, we loved the simple marigold decor and the sweet pictures by Fotowalle - The Story Folks★ 4.9 .

Meet Mallika & Anup

"Anup and my story goes back a long way. We met in college 14 years ago. When we decided to get married, the reaction was “finally!!” says Mallika.     From The Bride:  "The one thing Anup and I were both certain of was that we wanted to have fun at our wedding (and we did, despite people telling us that the bride and groom never do) and we wanted our friends (who have known us through all these 14 years) to have a blast! Anup is Sikh and I am a Malayali. I wanted our wedding to have a bit of both of us so we had two weddings. Both day weddings and both traditional, yet un-traditional. Neither of us wanted an over-the- top wedding and kept it simple. We didn’t even want a stage, instead we preferred to hang-out with our guests," says Mallika. "The Malayali function colour theme was white and gold, which is what is worn at weddings in Kerala. The décor (all the flowers were white and yellow) and even our friends wore white and gold traditional Kerala sarees and lungis (called Mundus). Everyone got gajras (jasmine flowers). I wore a white and gold Kanjeevaram silk saree with a red blouse. The wedding ceremony itself was short and sweet under a canopy of flowers with nadaswaram (like a Shehnai) playing. After that it was the start of the party! Day drinking, dancing, posing with cool sunglasses on and delicious Kerala food and cake which had figurines of Anup, me and my dog Odie that a baker friend made for us," explains Mallika.
