We know red is but the obvious choice for bridal lehengas, but it's always nice to see newer styles which we haven't seen before. We loved this brides blouse and her style but most of all it was the bride and groom having the time of their lives effortlessly and it shows in the pictures. The fun Mehendi designs, the red bridal lehenga, and the neat floral backdrops all just add to the fun. Venues Trident & Oberoi, Gurgaon showcased this beautiful wedding in every way they could while Photography by Shutterdown - Lakshya Chawla★ 5  took it up a notch! The hashtag #schatzisingh was enough for guests to put up some great pictures of their pretty do.

Meet Roma & Raghav

Schatzi (Raghav) and Singh (Roma) met through a friend exactly 2 years before their wedding date. Schatzi contacted Singh through Facebook with a ‘Hi’ and pic of his Halloween costume! Normally none of them resort to such randomness but it was destiny. Schatzi was in Canada and Singh was in Germany. So after few months of chatting, he visited her in Munich and matched her image of a dream man - the tall, talkative, good-looking, broad-shouldered and funny guy. Schatzi was looking for a beautiful anchor to his personality and was also in need of a bit of calmness in his fast pace life. He thinks that time pauses when Roma is around and finds her beauty and charm, calming. Schatzi and Singh decided to commit to each other and would meet every 2-3 months in Canada, Germany or India for 2 years before they tied the knot.

The Mehendi

The Wedding & Reception

From The Couple:

Both of us wanted a simple yet beautiful wedding and that represents our culture and values. The venue, Trident and Oberoi New Delhi, were first booked followed by photographers, Shutterdown. Photography was really important to us because I (The Groom) am myself is involved in photography and I liked how Shutterdown was humble and yet presented high-quality work. It was clear they loved their job.

Our invites were designed by Antony Hare - a renowned illustrator from abroad who understood our brief and gave us what we needed - even worked on the Indian elements beautifully. He has a great reputation and has done work for Huffington Post and NY Times.

A Punjabi wedding is incomplete without proper bhangra. DJ Ajay Nautiyal created a scene for three such high-tempo bhangra nights. The guests enjoyed themselves until the wee hours of the morning! His mantra - to play till the guests drop!

Finally, thanks to Wedmegood for being a great help in the planning process. It would have been really difficult to find credible vendors in Delhi without Wedmegood.
