Meet Parima & Ayush
"We met in an arranged marriage set up through a common family friend in 2015. I would not say that we clicked the first time we met. Though after the meeting we were sure about meeting again and getting to know each other. We met again, a month later with his parents and my brother. Ayush & my brother kept talking the whole time forgetting that I was present at the dinner too. Evidently we did not have any conversation that night leaving us confused about the whole thing. When the families asked us about the same we did not have an answer, which doubly added to the confusion. The next time we met, we got the chance to know each other better. We were more comfortable talking to each other and a bit more sure of taking things ahead. After this meeting we kept in regular touch. By January 2016 we were sure to tie the knot with each other," explains Parima about the arranged marriage premise. Honest and sweet!

The Wedding
The Reception
From The Bride:
We wanted a place that would be convenient for all the guests and elders in our families. That is how we settled on Udaipur as the destination for the wedding. After several visits to Udaipur Hotel Lakend & Ananta Resorts were shortlisted as the venues. We fell in love with both the properties - Hotel Lakend was situated at the Fatehsagar Lake & Ananta Resorts was located on the hills. The Wedding functions were spread across Indore & Udaipur.
For the Pre-Wedding Reception, I wore a golden lehenga whereas Ayush wore a Black Raghvendra Rathore Achkan. The decor was done completely in orange, white and gold which kept it really classic with chandeliers and flowers. Even though we had a separate sangeet night, we decided to host an Antakshari night with close family & friends from both the sides. The décor for this event was inspired by Bollywood. It was planned as an ice-breaking session between the two families. This party was converted into a cocktail later. We also had a Wine & Cheese night - a very contemporary event for the young ones & the ones young at heart. The daylight setting with white decor and guests in colourful attire with party hats was perfect. The Wedding Bartender stirred up some brilliant sangrias and wine cocktails which nobody could resist. All this, Poolside, with Maddy Sharma singing unplugged medleys from the 90's to the sweet (20)16's. And some brilliant cheese and continental food *sigh" says Parina. "We both decided to go for contrasting colours for the sangeet. I opted for a gorgeous blue-embroidered draped gown with makeup by Bianca Louzado. Ayush wore a red bandhgala for the function. Going with the theme for the function we had a fully illuminated indoor hall for the guests to sit back and enjoy the music. Hotel Lakend has the the beautiful Lake as the backdrop for the wedding. The mandap was beautifully decorated with lots of garlands, white and red flowers were used which gave it a very traditional feel. I wore a traditional zardosi lehenga from the local karigar from Calcutta for my big day. I have always wanted my wedding outfit to be of the traditional maroon colour. This one featured key elements like the elephant, the royal garden, peacocks among others which granted it a very Rajasthani theme. Ayush wore an ivory Sherwani with mild zardosi work, a maroon shawl to compliment my lehenga and a golden Safa. Bianca Louzado did my makeup. I was amazed how light my makeup felt while still managing to cover up any skin imperfections & accentuate my natural features. I'd say this to anyone and everyone, "If you want to look and feel your best on your wedding, Bianca has the magic wand to do so". Our reception was more of a cool-down party. The decor for this event was kept very simple and elegant with an illuminated entrance. I wore a beautiful Bottle green lehenga from Shyamal & Bhumika where as Ayush wore a dapper suit designed by SS Homme. We had a fantabulous performance by Shamali Kholgade which lightened up the mood and kept the guest entertained the whole evening" adds Parima.
