There is something so pleasing about this wedding- we are big time suckers for pretty pastel weddings, and this one looks gorgeous. The bride and the groom planned the wedding themselves, and we love the attention to detail! Agrima made for a pretty bride, and we love the edgy getting ready bridal portraits! From a cute love story spanning countries to a wedding filled we love, we love everything about this- including of course, the picture perfect photography by Tuhina Chopra Photoworks★ 5

Meet Agrima and Mithran

Our story dates back to the summer of 2014 when I had started an internship at Goldman Sachs and he was a full type employee there. Our teams sat very close and that’s how we got introduced to each other. I was attracted to his chivalrous and soft spoken nature and I was intrigued to know him more. I decided to surprise him for his birthday. It was a bold move but he was unlike anyone I knew so it seemed all worth it. I didn’t even have his mobile number so I made a plan with one of my colleagues and we both landed up at his place with wine and his favourite blueberry cheese cake. I was delighted to see how happy he was. That’s how it all started! Following which we met almost every weekend until my internship ended. That was the break in our story as I had to move from Bangalore to Mumbai. Although we drifted because of the distance, he made sure he stayed in touch and we met every time he visited Mumbai. He moved over to London in 2015. Somehow at the back of my head I refused to accept that our story is over and so again in 2017 when I started working at Goldman Sachs again, life gave us another opportunity. Over the next year, we got to know each other better and we knew this is what we wanted for life. He popped the question in a beautiful resort in Mauritius. It was magical and that was it, our happily ever after!

Mehendi & Haldi

Wedding

From The Bride:

I always pictured my wedding as a 2 day party. I decided against hiring a wedding planner as I wanted to to be meticulously involved in every single detail. I wanted to host three functions, all with different themes. I wanted the Mehendi to be a relaxing sundowner brunch, my Sangeet to be like a glamorous Bollywood party and my wedding to be a pastel paradise.

I planned my wedding with my mom and husband. It might seem tough, but it’s not impossible. It helped me add personal touches more effectively. I decided to go all digital and really wanted to have graphic caricatures on our wedding invites. After a lot of research, I decided to hire a Indonesian graphic designer through the Fiverr App. I gave her ideas to create a drawing of the venue for the main page and for each event page I wanted her to make sure the boy and girl caricatures were wearing exactly the same outfits as Mithran and I on the actual day. They looked personalised and spectacular and each person I sent the invite to complimented how intricate and beautiful they were.

Vendor Reviews

Photography

Tuhina Chopra Photoworks - I had been eyeing her account for over a year. I loved her non-commercial, art like style. She brings alive memories and her portraits are oh so beautiful. I was amazed at the amount of research she puts into her work when she suggested some great ideas for my wedding day solos. My favourite is the bath tub picture! She is so proactive, always running around to make sure she doesn’t miss a single priceless memory of your big day. Her entire team is amazing and so well coordinated. I can't decide what I like more the videography or photographs because both were just so perfect! The videos are done so tastefully and the editing is brilliant. The photography is royal to say the least or at least that’s what all my friends tell me! I really recommend her work.

Venue

Jaypee Green Golf And Spa Resort- I cant stop raving about this venue! This is not only the most beautiful property I have seen in Delhi but it was also such good value for money compared to the others I was considering. The entire property is super picturesque which helps get some amazing portrait pictures. The rooms are beautiful with a huge bathroom and the food is lip-smacking.The general manager, Ankit was so helpful that I didn’t feel like I was missing a wedding planner. He accommodated all my requests and made it all very easy for me. I really vouch for this venue.

MUA

Isha Khanna - She is not only one of the best make up artists in Delhi but also such a nice person. She gave me a trial and gave great ideas for all the looks. I was impressed with how punctual and professional she was- no high headedness and like a bridesmaid. I loved all my looks but she created pure magic for my wedding day and everyone wanted to know who created that look. I would highly recommended her.

Decor

The R2S World - Smriti and Seema aunty had some amazing ideas and she helped me visualise minute details of how each event should look like. I was particularly impressed by the beautiful cocktail night entrance with the lamps and the fairyland they helped me create on my wedding day! They helped me figure out a lot of last minute stuff for which I will be eternally grateful for.

Bridal Outfits

I had a couple of designers in mind and Bridal Asia seemed like the perfect place to check out them all out.I wanted to wear something vibrant and colourful for my Mehendi and Akanksha Gajria was my immediate choice. No one does colour and sequins better than her. I chose a orange and pink tie dye with Akanksha’s famous all sequin blouses. For my sangeet, I wanted something glamorous yet elegant at the same time and I cant recommend Natasha Dalal label enough. I fell in love with her Lavender Lucy which had 3D florals on the skirt and fringe detailing on the blouse. Perfect ensemble for a glamorous night! My Dolly J wedding lehenga was a love at first sight. I remember getting out of the trial room and feeling nothing short of a princess. I really recommend all future brides to go with an wedding day outfit that sparks joy. After all, this day only comes once when all the eyes are on you! This is one area where I wouldn’t recommend you cut that cost.

Mehendi Artist

Shalini Mehendi Artist- She did some beautiful custom designs for me to help me depict my story. My favourite was the plane flying from New Delhi’s Indiagate to the London Eye

Groom Outfits

Mehendi outfit- Sulakshna Jasra. This is a small boutique in Shahpur jaat but the her work is so amazing. At par with some big designers. She does some amazing jackets. Engagement outfit- Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna. This outfit was again a love at first sight. They have some amazing grooms wear. Wedding Day- Qbik boutique in Shapur Jat. My husband wanted to go for something subtle and this boutique has a great variety from subtle to heavy.
