Karan Sidhu Photography : "Try getting ready by a window which has lots of natural light coming in. It enhances the portraits your photographer will be able to click. Also, always check with your makeup artist whether she is comfortable with having a photographer around, and preferably book one who is.
WhatKnot Photography : "We tell the bride to give us party poses. Girls are very comfortable posing at parties, but when you add a bridal outfit to the equation, they don't know what to do. So I tell them to just imagine they're at a party and have fun!"
The Wedding Salad : "Pay attention to your hands. Try placing your hands one on top of the other for individual portraits, or hold your groom in photos where you're together . A hand on his shoulder , or pressed against his chest makes a very big difference to the photograph!"
Studio Zeppic : " When you are getting ready in front of the mirror, that is the time for the best bridal photos. Those are the moments when the bride is in her own beautiful world, and looks her most beautiful self. So ensure you have a photographer covering your getting ready moments and you are not conscious during them .(Tip: Put on some music during your getting ready session to relax. We have a neat list here)
Priya Lalls Photography : "Body language is very important. Inhale, Stand tall and maintain a good posture. Use your hands gracefully and be mindful of where you put them. Move around naturally and don't try to hide behind an object like a table."
I Dont Say Cheese : "The best tip for brides to look their best is to ignore the camera and genuinely enjoy the moment with family and friends."
WedMeGood tips :
- If you are looking at smiling in a photo, then inhale, and when you are facing the camera, let out the breath and smile. Apparently, this ensures your shoulders are relaxed and the smile looks more warm and genuine
- Know your angles : having a 3/4 angle to the camera flatters just about everyone
- Keep a light dupatta on your head. Can't stress how important this is. Too many bridal photos have been ruined with brides cowering below the weight of their dupatta
