Personalizing your Indian Wedding 101: To Cake or Not to Cake?
BY The WMG Bride | 04 Apr, 2014 | 2156 views | 2 min read
On our first "Personalise your wedding feature", we thought we would touch upon a subject that the west obsesses over and we here in India don't really give much of a thought too . So I asked resident contributor Elle, to give us some ideas for wedding cakes that can be the ultimate bridal accessory at your wedding.
Cakes that look like couture
If there is anything prettier than the bride at her wedding, it is undoubtedly a well crafted cake that looks like couture. What say? Have one that matches with your outfit at the wedding?
Both cakes above are from Firefly Bakery in Delhi. They do the most genius cakes, and the first time we saw them we literally could not believe that this level of Cake couture was available in Delhi

Getting Creative with Cake Toppers

Cakes that are not "Cakes"
What if the bride and the groom don’t like cake?! I can hear the gasps of disbelief – ‘Who doesn’t like cake?!’ Well, I don’t. I couldn’t care less for cake or chocolate and neither does my husband (gasps intensify!).
In spite of our nonchalant attitude towards cake, we did end up cutting into one at our reception. But if I had the chance to do it again, I would banish the cake and settle for a tower of doughnuts! Yep! Big, soft doughnuts covered in sugar!
I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way. If you love something other than cake, why not cut into that?
A doughnut cake- covered in sugar. YUM.
