Winter Sangeet=Cozy and Crazy Fun! No one has to bother about feeling too hot while dancing and you can get away with so many more things in terms or outfits and decor that you cannot even think of during summer! So here are some cool new ideas for your upcoming winter Sangeet- and since it's close, get inspired and get cracking on implementation!

Outfit Ideas

  • Since it's winter, prefer a darker hue outfit rather than a light or pastel one. The Sangeet is when you can really get away with some trendy colours and silhouettes, so make use of that! Whether it's a gown or lehenga you choose, a darker tone will look more striking!
  • Outfits in rich fabrics and hues like Marsala, Emerald Green, Teal, Oxblood, Deep Blues and Purples can look very glam for a winter Sangeet.
  • You can even get away with carrying a velvet dupatta on the occasion, which will not only look rich and glam, but keep you warm as well! Another great idea is to rock a leather jacket on top of your lehenga like this bride!
  • Try a high-neck blouse or a cold shoulder gown that will be more winter-appropriate!

Makeup Ideas

  • Since it's winter, bold and dramatic makeup is one look you can easily pull off at your Sangeet!
  • Heavily contoured cheeks, metallic smokey eyes or vampy lips- if you've desired to pull off any of these looks at one of your wedding functions, then this is the time to do it!
  • Keeping the hair open on the Sangeet is a good idea, since you will be dancing as well, so keeping it easy breezy is a good idea- you can try a cool half-up, half down hairdo. More inspiration here!

Decor Ideas

  • So since it will most likely be a night event, take a good call on whether you want to do it indoors or outdoors. There will be enough alcohol and dancing to keep everyone warm!
  • Winter Sangeet is a great event to get away with heavy and glam themes, which would otherwise be too OTT!
  • Themes like Moroccan, Arabian Nights or Antiquated Glamour are great. You can get away with rich colours and glam themes like gold and teal, deep blue and magenta, black and gold or even use a lot of botanical elements
  • Lighting is essential. Use loads of fairy lights and candles everywhere to cozy up the venue. You should even include candles or tea lights in the centrepieces!
  • Consider getting an ice sculpture if you want to- it's the ideal season! Here is all you need to know about getting one!
  • If there is a tree at the venue, really do it up with lights, will add a lot of warmth and magic to the venue!
  • Consider investing in a printed dance floor- really ups the amp!
  • Get a smoke machine! It can really add a lot more magic to your couple dance and solos, and make the photos look whimsical!

Food and Bar Ideas

  • Instead of the same old cocktails, switch things up a bit! Include a lot of coffee and chocolate cocktails or infuse hot chocolate with alcohol! You can even try some mulled wine, which is spiced and served warm! Plus, a flaming shot counter is always an option!
  • Have a lot of baked items in your appetiser menu, the weather will be perfect for that! You can even have some cool mini-food ideas like soups in mini mugs served with mini grilled cheese sandwiches? Or how about a cheese bar?
  • For dessert, serve something warm, which is super cool at the same time! How about some coffee in cones or mini chocolate lava cakes that are bite sized? Some more winter wedding food ideas here

Ideas for Guests

  • Put some shawls or gloves out as favours or for the guests to use on the spot if they feel cold.
  • You can even keep some flip flops or hotel slippers to change to if they want to get rid of heels.
  • For favours, give something nice and cozy like perfumes, alcohol or hot chocolate or cocoa hampers if you want to!
  • Keep some hangover kits handy for them, especially if you have a morning event the next day!
  • You can even make the guests hold cold pyros for some of the shots- looks even cooler for events during winter!
