If it wasn’t already obvious, you're going to bid adieu to the dry and dehydrated winter skin because you'd want anything but that on your wedding day. While following a skincare routine is always on our brides' minds, if it doesn't work in your favor, we've got your back.

Here are some easy bridal makeup hacks for the winter brides that our popular MUAs swear by! And guess what you're the first ones with whom they decided to share these secrets, so don't forget to take the mental notes.

Sahibba K Anand says

A hack for extremely dry lips: I normally use liquid matte lip colors, which dry up the lips further. For chapped or dry lips, I ensure a modest amount of lip balm is applied first. Then, I apply a layer of cream lipstick followed by the liquid matte lip color, instead of directly applying it to the lips.

Recommendations - Liquid Matte lip colour: Smashbox Always on (infused with primer oil), Lip Balm: Forrest Essentials

It’s as simple as this winters tend to make your skin dry and patchy so you need to provide your skin with immense hydration. It’s a great idea to use tinted moisturizers. There are numerous brands providing BB and CC creams that not only provide nourishment but help even out the skin tone. If you are opting for a foundation please make sure to stick to an oil-based foundation.

My #1 winter makeup hack is to switch to cream-based/liquid products and keep the powder application as little as possible.
Satin/dewy finish foundations & lightweight concealers not only sit beautifully on the skin in this weather but also add a healthy glow to it! Thicker foundations & concealers tend to crack more so definitely avoid that in this weather! Also, the best time put those cream-based blushes, bronzes, and liquid highlighters to use cause the wear time is way more than it is during summers! Setting makeup with hydrating mists in this weather will help lock in your look as well as soothe and moisturize, leaving you with a subtle, dewy glow.

I personally love to keep the skin dewy and glowy during winters instead of matte. So few products which you can add/use during winters for that sheer glow are - for prepping, you can use a face oil or oil primers. Opt for tinted moisturizer/cc creams. Use cream blushes and highlighters instead of powders. For the lips, you can use a balm under lipstick or gloss on the top. This is the perfect combination for that glossy face finish. Quick and impressive for a winter day!

I always recommend my brides-to-be to get a hydrafacial done! It restores the hydration back to the skin, plumps, and evens it out. Also, improves the texture of the skin and makes you glow naturally. It's all abt hydration in winters and hydrafacial could be your savior!

Use face oils instead, or along with moisturizers depending on the intensity of dryness. You can also use an oil-based formula for your foundation. You can use the face oils not only before you apply your make-up, but also incorporate them into your day & night-time bridal skincare routine!

When it comes to the cooler, dryer months of the year, here’s a little hack that can help you get that glass glowing skin for the upcoming wedding season! - SAY A BIG YES TO OIL PRIMER! Oil primer can be a bit of a total game-changer as it creates a perfect canvas for your makeup. It not only moisturizes the skin but hydrates in the most perfect manner. In my opinion, Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Oil, which contains 15 different essential oils, is designed to absorb into your skin before applying makeup, resulting in a glowing and gorgeous finish!

Flawless makeup always starts with a great, hydrating skincare regime! Radiant glow can be achieved by exfoliating before makeup application. It’s important to opt for a radiant skin-finish foundation (not a matte formula) and a damp makeup sponge to apply your foundation, as it gives an airbrushed, lightweight look.
