When fitness played cupid for Vera & Siddhartha, one of the most HIIT *reads hit* love stories came into play! What followed next was a typical Punjabi wedding with a twist to the plot. What you ask? Read along to know!
Vera & Siddhartha always envisioned having a traditional yet intimate wedding, and due to the pandemic, everything happened just how they wanted it to be. It was a close-knit affair with just the few who mattered, without any compromise on the fun element. The wedding gala lasted for about 10 days, with the two families coming together at one venue for dance practices to dhol nights to sangeet, mehendi & the Anand Karaj. Vera, throughout the revelries, made for a fashion-savvy bride & charmed us with her understated elegance. The dapper groom, on the other side, took it a notch higher and made a fun entry on a Royal Enfield.
Without further delay, dive in to witness these wedding intangibles captured through the lens of Sutej Pannu .
Meet Vera & Siddhartha
Both me and my husband are very passionate about fitness. We quite literally breathe fitness. My husband was in the process of opening and setting up his gym (CrossFit Inquilab) in Jalandhar and go back to Bombay. When I heard about his upcoming venture I was immediately interested in becoming a coach there. It’s going to be 3 years to CrossFit Inquilab and our ever growing love.

From The Bride
Sidd and I wanted a very intimate wedding and all thanks to Covid-19 we had it our way. We both wanted the wedding to be simple and traditional but super fun and wanted to enjoy every bit of it and it went no other way. Our wedding was at my home. My house is right behind my hotel and it’s called Aveda Kamal Palace. Both the families stayed at the same venue. So it was a party house for almost 10 days. From dance practices to dhol nights to Vatna, Sangeet, Mehendi and the Anand Karaj, everything was in the same place. The best part was that there were no ladkewalas and ladkiwalas. We were just two happy families celebrating the union of Sidd and I. In simple words, it was a big fat Punjabi wedding.
Vendor Reviews
Venue: Aveda Kamal Palace
It was my dream to get married from home. We had the best of everything. Everything was outdoor. The decor was beautiful. The food was delicious and the staff was so helpful. The hotel staff made this wedding happen so flawless. Really need to thank Aveda Kamal Palace’s staff to pull this off with so much ease.
MUA: Zareen Bala
Zareen has been nothing but amazing. She was so nice and listened to my inputs. My biggest concerns for the wedding was make up. I wanted to look like myself and not another human. Zareen’s make up is truly flawless and she is easy to work with. She immediately understood my vibe and created art.
Wedding Photographers & Videographers: Sutej Pannu, The Perfect Studios, Behind The Camera
Sutej Pannu: Sutej is a gem. One of the most understanding photographers we have ever come across. Not just in terms of great technical skills but understanding in terms of knowing what the clients want and what the client likes. It felt as if he was part of the celebration and not just doing his job.
The Perfect Studios: Tushar did our photography for the engagement and he made us have a lot of fun. We loved the magic he created with his camera and his vibe .
Behind The Camera: These guys are not just two humans behind the camera but are part of the family. We have worked on them on various projects and they have never failed to deliver.
Decor: Wedding Mart by Gaurav
The decor was amazing. Gaurav understood our likes and dislikes and created art. Thanking him for the same.
Bridal Outfits
All my outfits were well thought out and I had my personal input in everything. I wanted the outfits to have my touch and didn’t want to pick something off the rack. Something that speaks me.
Mehendi Artist: Beenu
My Mehndi artist was amazeballs. He was the nicest and did the prettiest artwork. I was not the most patient while getting my mehndi but he was
Groomwear: Premsons
The groom got his outfits customised from Premsons (Royalsuitcompany insta). Not only were Jimmy and Manik helpful in deciding the outfits but the deliveries were made ahead of time! Wore his dad’s Pashminas. Shoes were customised by the wonderful Brune x Bareskin.
Invitations: Nitish Midha
Sidd and I personally got the invites designed from Nitish Midha (nitishmidhadesigns insta). And then got the beautiful invites printed from Madan printers in Jalandhar. For mithai we did middle eastern dates in a beautiful wooden box from Aditi Gurgaon.
Wedding Planners: Aveda Kamal Palace
Aveda Kamal Palace (like I said) they killed it with organising and coordinating with all vendors, guests and both the families. It couldn’t get better
