Meet Natasha & Dhirendra
We used to work together for the same firm. The first time we met, I knew something would happen between us at some point but I wasn’t really interested in a relationship during that time. Him on the other hand knew that he wanted to marry me. He was persistent and pursued me for over a year and then finally I said okay to dating. After 1.5 years of our relationship, he proposed to me and truthfully, I was shocked...and scared as I didn’t expect it. But his love for me gave me confidence and I’m glad I said Yes. He is a blessing for me. The universe gave me exactly what I needed in a partner and I couldn’t be more happier.
The Haldi
The Wedding
From The Bride:
My family is from Kolkata and his family is from Bombay. Even though I’m born and raised in Dubai, I always wanted to get married in the city where my parents got married so it was an easy choice. The wedding took place on 1 Dec (since we wanted a winter wedding ) and it was a Bengali style wedding. We had a haldi function, an after party and then the next day wedding/reception combined. The decor for the haldi function was traditional but for the wedding it was more bohemian. I always grew up thinking I’m a girl with very traditional taste but to my surprise I was kind of the opposite, and I’m glad I could have both kind of decors incorporated for my different functions. Since I never grew up in Kolkata it was a major task to get vendors and finalize venues, so here’s where wedmegood app was of big help!
Vendor Reviews:
Venue: The Lalit Great Eastern, Kolkata
While I’ve previously stayed in this property multiple times and I love the staff and their service, I feel for staging an event they need to look into it and build up on this expertise.
Makeup Artist: Bhaskar Biswas
He was my BLESSING! Earlier I couldn’t make up my mind on a make up artist and everyone I’d approach was booked because it was high season but thanks to my lucky stars, Bhaskar was available and I booked him. He did my makeup exactly how I wanted and I just couldn’t be happier. I would recommend him without a doubt.
Photographer: Vermilion Diaries
They did my photography and videography. Manish was fun to work with and they were very accommodating and flexible as a team.
Decor: Artrageous
Purnamrita was helpful in assisting ideas and providing suggestions of what would look good for my functions. If anybody hires them they need to keep in mind that this vendor is very planned hence if you require any last minute changes, change in mind etc there’s very little which can be accommodated by them especially during high wedding season.
Mehendi Artist: Mun Mun
I found Mun Mun through the WedMeGood app and I’m glad I found her. She was diligent and was very talented.
