Intimate Glam Wedding In The Bride's Own Home
|
|
Okay, where do we begin with for this one? This is one wedding that truly taught us how gorgeous and glamorous home weddings can be. We loved so many aspects from Maya & Aaditya's celebrations, that we are at a loss of which one to highlight first! The fake currency notes with the groom's face, or the scarves all groomsmen wore in the baraat (again, with the groom's face!), or the bookmark-worthy decor at Maya's home or the stunning outfit she chose for her wedding - each and every thing caught our fancy. We couldn't help but pin almost all things from this wedding to our moodboards and we bet you'll feel the same. So, scroll down and pen down ideas for making your very own intimate wedding, a glam celebration.
Meet Maya & Aaditya
My husband and I met over 8 years ago at a mutual friend’s house! We exchanged numbers, and never stopped talking to one another after. Aadi was in London at the time and I in Boston. But that didn’t stop us - we did a good 6 years of long distance across the world and in a number of cities. I’m a documentary filmmaker and Aadi’s in finance. We were pulled in two different directions! It was a crazy journey but we grew so much together. One thing was always clear- this relationship was worth it to us and we would pour everything we could into it. He’s so much more than a best friend and husband to me, I’m so lucky!

From The Bride:
Our vision was always simple- our wedding was about having the best time with the people we loved the most. They are a part of our story- this celebration is also about them! While the decor and outfits and entertainment mattered, what mattered more to us was the way we could make our loved ones feel. This was a chance to bring people together, at a time that was already so difficult.
Vendor Reviews:
Planners: A New Knot
They became our family. Our wedding plans evolved so much over the course of 6 months but their attention to detail, patience, organization and integrity ensured that our planning was smooth and just so much fun. They made our vision come to life and we are so grateful. The team is truly so special.
Bridal Outfits: Ensemble
Tina Tahiliani and her team at ensemble- to feel like a bride in the middle of a pandemic was almost impossible. But the team at ensemble made me feel like a princess and gave me the opportunity to waltz around their store again and again wearing the most beautiful lehengas by the most talented designers! They were so kind, encouraging and animated, I looked forward to my visits there every month. They made me feel like anything was possible and made sure of it! My mum and I call them our “angels” because they truly made us feel blessed.
Photographers: The House on the Clouds
They are such talented photographers! And so much fun to be around! They captured the essence of Aaditya and I so well. They truly see the world through a lens of their own. Thank you HOTC for the best memories!
