Aishwarya & Zubin's wedding celebrations were a riot of colours, and full of love. It was a wedding that totally reflected Aishwarya's taste and personality. We absolutely loved the floral decor of the wedding, which was a mix of tuberoses and jasmine with globe amaranth and orchids, with a background of lotus drops and a beautiful chandelier of flowers complete with orchids and parrots. It was dreamy, and looked like a slice of some floral paradise. The also had an elegant Christian ceremony with pastel pinks ruling the scene! Aishwarya looked equally ethereal in a bright magenta saree on her wedding ceremony and in a white and gold kasavu saree for the Christian ceremony.

Sweet Pickle Pictures★ 5 captured all the madness, the beauty and the love from this wedding expertly and gave the couple, memories that'll last forever!

Meet Aishwarya & Zubin

The Tamilian Wedding

The Christian Wedding

From The Bride:

Since it was an inter-religious marriage, we decided to have the best of both. It was a union of two best friends and two different cultures. I wanted a traditional Tamil Brahmin wedding and I was sure that I wanted an open, outdoor setup. Although a Catholic, Zubin didn’t want anything elaborate in church which is why we decided to have a private blessing ceremony (a few days after the wedding) in Hyderabad (which is home for both of us). The most memorable moment from my big day was when my Catholic husband was repeating mantras for the first time like he had been saying them for years! It was super emotional for me and my family. I consider myself lucky to have got exactly what I always wanted- I dreamt of marrying my best friend in a gorgeous outdoor setting filled with my favourite things- my closest family and friends, beautiful fragrances and flowers, foot tapping music and fantastic food! We had a vibrant three-day affair in Chennai and capped the guests at 200 so we were able to create a warm and intimate experience for our friends and family. My style is elegant, tasteful and timeless. I wanted something different for each function. I picked a beach house (The Blue House) on East Coast Road for the “Sundowner Cocktail Soiree” which kickstarted the celebrations. The place was lovely- with the setting sun, sea breeze, pretty florals and candles, dreamy lights, groovy music and heady cocktails. It was complete with personalized signages and signature cocktail names. The next day we had the Mehendi in Rina’s Venue which was a pretty daytime function full of colour and fun followed by the Sangeet in the evening. The setting was magical and the best part was the live performance by a Jazz/Funk inspired band from Delhi called the Revisit Project. The wedding was also at Rina's Venue and had the perfect ambience. For the main mandap, I opted for pinks, whites and purple. We had tuberoses and jasmine with globe amaranth and orchids. Contrasting with the purple, I wanted a background with lotus drops and a beautiful chandelier of flowers complete with orchids and parrots. The Christian  blessing ceremony in Hyderabad was classic and elegant. With the sun just about to set, it was a perfect evening in a lovely lawn lined with trees that created a perfect walkway. We opted for lilies, roses and carnations in pastels hues- peach, pink, and cream dotted with gold.

Vendor Reviews:

Makeup Artist: Wedding: Prakruthi Ananth
Prakruthi and her mom (Seetha) did a fanstastic job. I wanted something simple and subtle- they did exactly what I had in mind. They are professional, patient and tell you what you need to hear. Trust them. Also, the trial was useful since we could arrive at the right base and colours. They make you feel comfortable and are happy, delightful people. Just the kind you need at 4 a.m. on your wedding day!

Photographers: Sweet Pickle Pictures
They gave us everything we wanted and more! I didn't have to think twice before booking them- they had shot my brother's wedding and several friends' weddings in the last few years. They do a phenomenal job- professional, patient, accommodating and full of ideas and energy. They are keen to understand what you're looking for and have a great eye for detail. A supremely talented team- they captured every moment at all the 6 functions/events so beautifully. I absolutely love the pictures- they are personal, real and raw. The wedding video was the highlight for us and everyone's favourite! Tears are shed everytime we watch it! Everyone who saw the pictures and watched the videos said they could feel the love and sense the happiness- and that I think, speaks volumes of their work. They made us feel so special and at ease, always. Thank you so much Ankith, Pratyusha and the entire team for being the best ever! Highly recommended!

Decor: Nachiappan
Nachi transformed my dream into a reality! I knew exactly what I wanted and had several discussions with him. He was so warm, patient and creative. Gave me a good idea about what was realistic and what was not. He was honest and forthcoming, including in terms of the budget. He transformed the place and gave me exactly what I wanted…and more! He worked on every last detail with me, for all the events at Rina's Venue. A perfectionist and supremely hardworking.
