A red bridal lehenga is a classic- whether you pick a designer ensemble, something budget or even DIY it, it's a colour you just can't go wrong with for your big day. Not too many, but there are a few brides who are picking red on their wedding day, but not in a lehenga. Shararas, ghararas, gowns and of course, Anarkalis. Here are some brides who picked offbeat red outfits, and absolutely floored us with their choices- some quite literally! Take a look!

Pernia Q had her mom's wedding farshi gharara recreated and restored for her own wedding. It was originally hand stitched by my her Nani for her mother and was now redone by House of Kotwara for her own wedding.

Bhavdeep wore a gorgeous red lehenga on her wedding, one that she had designed herself. What was interesting was that she made a covid inspired sketch where she showed her and her fiancé looking from inside a house wearing masks- pretty apt for a lockdown bride right?

These brides got married, and we love how one wore white and the other wore a red jumpsuit! Perfect for an intimate wedding right?

This bride Indianised a red gown by her own label for her wedding with a bridal hairband, and a dupatta which doubled up as a veil and a train!

Now this one is something unique- not quite a lehenga, but not an Anarkali either.

Inspiration from Pakistani brides

Trust Pakistani brides to give us some amazing inspiration when looking for red bridal outfits that are not lehengas. Here are a few that we absolutely loved.
