Off shoulder is super hot right now we think Akanksha wore her off shoulder mehendi outfit to absolute perfection. You know what else was perfect  - the kitsch, bright mehendi decor with the teapots as centrepieces and the scattered flower petals in the brides hair which went perfectly with her delicate outfit. Photography by Hitched and Clicked★ 4.7   captured all the madness of this bright and colorful Delhi wedding to perfection.

Meet Akanksha & Harshit

We both were involved in our export family business and we met in Hong Kong at a 4 days long trade fair, our booths were opposite each other and we crossed by everyday but I didn't pay much attention to him. So one fine day, my chachi said "why don’t you talk to guy in opposite booth? He’s a friend of my friends fiancé. So finally, on the last day I walked up to him because I was too bored and then we got all talking and figured we had too much in common. Soon, late night Whatsapp conversations turned to never-ending phone calls and we realised we are not “JUST FRIENDS”,"says Akanksha.

"One day, Harshit said, Akanksha I'm not in for dating – will you marry me? I was stoked, we decided to take a step forward and involve the families. And in their very first meeting everything by the grace of god fell into place and we were hitched. In a span of 1.5 months my entire life was fixed …. WOW," adds Akanksha.

Reception

From The Bride:

"When my dates were finalized ,  I  knew exactly how I wanted my wedding to be . Since this was the first wedding of our generation in my family , everyone was  elated and eager to start of the preps. I'm blessed with most amazing family who made this possible and Harshit and my brothers for tolerating all my bridezilla moments with patience. All the vendors felt like a part of the family and put in all their efforts and energies to make this the best time of my life - Love them all" says Akanksha.

"I always wanted a classic Delhi farmhouse wedding with lush lawns- I finalized Amaanta farms the moment I saw it.  I knew this was it and to do justice to the beautiful venue it had to be Pooja, she's a sweetheart, she so positive and energetic you know that you're in safe hands! And the Vedi – It was the most gorgeous vedi that I'd ever seen, I didn't want the typical marigold stuff, so we decorated it with kaliras. And my beautiful Jaimala with a separate stage and cold fire showers and flowers was heaven.

For the outfits, I wanted beautiful but comfortable outfits for all the functions because I wanted to dance till the end as it was my own wedding and I wanted to enjoy it to the core.

The Mehndi I picked up this lehenga from Tarun - I didn't want the expected gotta or phulkari lehengas I wanted something very different and this was my favourite outfit . My reception outfit was from Anarkali in Karol Bagh – Shivani the owner was amazing, she showed me the most gorgeous lehengas and helped me finalise on this coral lehenga," explains Akanksha.
