Pool parties always find a way to impress us. And if they are in picturesque Alibaug, then hellooooo, we are literally loving every moment. One reason why Nivriti's super intimate and sweet wedding caught our eye. From the fun co-ordinated bridesmaids to pool parties to a laidback wedding, this one has all the best bits of inspiration one can find at beachy weddings. Photography by Fotowalle - The Story Folks is stunning and the bride in a red Sabya stole our hearts.
Meet Nivriti & Siddharth
"Ours was an arranged marriage but he had me at hello. Before meeting we spoke over the phone and I vividly remember talking for hours as if we had known each other forever. There was no awkward pause or a moment where we ran out of things to talk. It was not love at first sight exactly but I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him,"says Nivriti.

From The Bride:
"He is from the startup capital and I am from the beautiful tea city of India, Dibrugarh. We both wanted a fun crazy coastal destination wedding. Goa weddings were done to death and while shortlisting our options we came across the magnificent Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Alibaug. Like every bride I wanted a perfect fairytale wedding (not sure if it actually exists) and three months before the wedding when I was at the peak of my Bridezilla mode, Siddharth asked, "What do you want the wedding to be for you?" I said that I definitely want it to be fun and have the best time of my life. He suggested me to leave the wedding planning to our respective families and trust that they will do an awesome job of it and they did," adds Nivriti.
"Our pre-wedding function kick started with a vibrant & colourful mehendi function called Gulabo Mehendi. My gorgeous gulabo lehenga was gifted by my dear friend Abhinav Mishra which I teamed it up with jewellery from Fooljhadi. Followed by a poetic evening called Mehfil-e- Sufiyana for which I again chose a gorgeous ivory outfit from Abhinav Mishra. Brunch by the poolside on second day completely stole the show and every single guest went wild had a crazy time.
I am very traditional at heart and i knew I wanted a red lehenga irrespective of what season of the year I was getting married in. I definitely didn't want the usual red so I went for a maroonish reddish Sabya lehenga. We travelled all the way to Jaipur’s Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas to pick my wedding jewellery as I wanted it from the same jeweller who had deigned for my mother’s wedding. They have a stunning collection of uncut diamond jewellery and I was in love with that V-shaped choker that I chose. In the era of Whats app and Facebook we didn’t want regular invites so we specially got digital invites designed which was much appreciated by all the guests" adds Nivriti.
"Of course, how can a new age bride plan her wedding without WMG. Gone are the days when we would believe some aunt or a relative's relative to get a vendor for the most precious day of our life. Seeing is believing and that's the beauty of your app. it caters to the needs of every bride. As my wedding was in Maharashtra I wanted to hire my mehendi and makeup artist from Mumbai and because of WMG I was happy of the choices that I made," adds Nivriti.
