Pastel for a night wedding is not really a popular choice but Sonal nailed the look! Clad in a beautiful pastel lehenga, she looked ethereal as a bride. Adding to the glam was the gorgeous Taj Pushkar, providing a picturesque backdrop to the couple's adorable and candid moments, captured beautifully by Darshan Sethi Photography★ 4.9

Meet Sonal & Ritesh

My husband and I met nearly ten years ago through common friends. His best friend was dating my best friend and in 2011 while Ritesh was road tripping with his childhood friends across the U.S, he and started texting each other incessantly and a week after he came back, he asked me out! We dated for 8 years and finally got our families to meet! He's a Punjabi and I'm a Marwari so it took some convincing for our parents but they came through and today, our families are a house on fire! 8 years later, I married my best friend in a dreamy wedding surrounded by our closest family and friends.

The Sangeet

The Wedding

From The Bride:

My parents and maternal grandparents drove from Jaipur to Pushkar for a weekend getaway and stayed at the beautiful Taj Pushkar. A few months later my grandfather passed away and he couldn't see his youngest granddaughter marry the man of her dreams. My family wanted me to have a piece of my grandfather's fondest and last memory on my wedding day and decided that whenever the day might come, they'll get me married at Taj Pushkar, where I last saw my grandfather. My sister and mother along with papa and Ritesh's amazingly supportive family planned every little detail of my wedding. We wanted to keep it intimate yet memorable while not wasting resources and money hence every aspect of decor, food, stay, logistics was meticulously planned! I wore my mother's 38 year old wedding lehenga for my mehendi because that was always my dream - to carry her legacy forward. For the sangeet, my sister and mother penned a beautiful poem for me and my journey as a daughter to becoming a daughter in law!

Wedding Event Planners: Chasing Butterflies India
Run by Poonam Agarwal, this is a bespoke events company and since she's my sister, she created this wedding keeping Ritesh and my style and likes in mind. She along with Samrock Events made this intimate yet grand wedding come to life.

Darshan and his team are amazing! They are very hands on, humble and they've given us memories for a lifetime. They didn't have any hang-ups, they were always open to suggestions and the output was phenomenal. They come highly recommended. I hope we get to work together again in the future!

Bridal Outfit: Faabiiana
Karishma from Faabiiana personally designed my outfit keeping in mind that I wanted something that didn't weigh me down. I wanted my personality to own the outfit, not the other way round and she delivered just that. Not only will my wedding outfit be an heirloom piece, it will be something that I will definitely be able to repurpose and rewear in close weddings making this a very sustainable fashion choice.
