This couple, who had their wedding delayed for over 2 years no thanks to the pandemic finally got to have their dream wedding, and the bride was deeply involved in every aspect of it! Sakshi and Behzad had a Sindhi-Parsi wedding in Mumbai, and it was a very feel-good, rustic wedding with florals all over- even the bride's lehenga! Her makeup by Yashika Panchal matched her look without making it over the top, and the decor by The Petite Project was bang on according to the theme! Take a look at this adorable union!
Meet Sakshi and Behzad
“A friendship Called love”
We both vividly remember the 1st time we saw each other at our coaching classes in 12th standard. Well lets not call it love at 1st sight 'cz geez it took 5 years for it, Lets just say we both felt a connect in that instance, a sense of instant comfort.. a feeling as if we had known each other since years. Some sort of belongingness! But then we were just 17 year olds and who looks into the depth of such moments yeah?
We got talking, became friends and soon had our own group of 4! The 4 of us would hang out often before and after classes and apart from that the 2 of us had our own thing going already. He would call me at every given instance every single day and we would casually chat about anything and everything. A strong bond of friendship had thus begun. I was his go-to person for everything under the sky and he had become that friend for me whom I could count on for anything under the sky.

Sangeet
From The Bride:
Behzad asked me to be his wife exactly 5 years from when he had asked me out i.e 25th Jan 2020! And there began our talks about our wedding! We always were keen to have a good but small wedding. Where the decor and vibe was dreamy but the people invited were the very close and important ones!
I prepared a detailed mood board for 3 functions - mehendi, cocktail and wedding, with the highlight being the wedding - A wedding in the woods! We both did not wish for a fancy venue but rather for it to be amidst nature! Our dream was to take our vows below trees and an open sky!
While we were keen for a June wedding, COVID had different plans and just a month and a half after the proposal ,we all were in a lockdown situation and there began our courtship in the pandemic! From June to October to November to next year Jan to again June, November and finally Jan in 2022, its been a roller coaster of the two of us! We did get a court wedding in November, 2020 but an Indian wedding without family and rituals felt just like the next step.
Vendor Reviews
Decor: The Petite Project
Varsha from The Petite Project was our wedding decorator and was extremely helpful from the word go. It was all a last minute decision for us to go ahead with the wedding considering the pandemic and she stepped up to ensure we got what we had envisioned. She understood the brief well and executed our wedding decor beautifully.
Wedding Planning: Niche Events By Priyal Mehta Bahratiya
We chose Priyal to be our wedding planner. They were extremely helpful throughout the planning process and especially on the main day of the wedding. They ensured everything went smoothly and were hands on throughout the entire journey of planning our wedding day.
DJ: DJ Wishal
Wishal absolutely made our cocktail night so much more fun! Everyone was all praises for him post the event. He knows how to read a crowd and play just the right selection of songs.
