It's been a while since we had a Mumbai wedding and what better way to get back on track than with some blogger love? Fashion Blogger House of Misu's style maven, Mitali Sagar got married at Tote The Turf in Mumbai last month. We loved the unusual metallic eye makeup, the offbeat bridal outfit color, the elegant decor and minimal jewellery - mega cute, all carefully captured to perfection by The Photo Diary by Monisha

"I wanted my wedding to be as informal as possible. I wanted my guests to feel as much a part of it as my family would, so we went into great detail to ensure they never felt left out. Also picked on locations that are beautiful on their own and don’t require over the top decoration to add beauty to the venue" explains Mitali.
The Mehendi
The Wedding & Reception
From The Bride:
"We both wanted something elegant and fun hence we eliminated the whole formal reception and had a cocktail party instead to cerebrate our union where guests could dance the night away to great music and refuel with sublime food after. I even made sure to keep a basket of slippers so the ladies could kick off their heels when things started to get wild. We made sure that the guests would not feel bored so all our functions had some form of 'non cheesy/ non-tacky' entertainment. We were also hands on with every aspect of the wedding from food to music, lights, florals to even the place cards" says Mitali.
"I did not have a cliched idea for my wedding nor did I want my wedding to only focus on me - I wanted my wedding to focus on us and reflect us as a couple. My style is chic and elegant. I like to wear things that are versatile and refined. This is why i went with a non-traditional length for my wedding in a mint tone. My cocktail gown was a billowing emerald green piece of art. My mehendi look was more traditional than any of my other ensembles. I wore a purple and green lehanga which perfectly complimented the decor and location of the function.
I carefully selected all my hair and makeup looks as well making sure each look was unique and super chic complementing my outfits.
Given the line of work I am in, I did feel a little more pressure to have everything done perfectly and in style but I learnt at the end that perfection is a point of view and for me my wedding turned out to be absolutely perfect. I fortunately know what I like and what I don't like so choosing my looks were the easiest part of the wedding. It was everything else which caused quite a bit of stress but in the end, I married the love of my life and thats the most important thing" adds Mitali, happily.
