Do It Yourself: Indian Wedding Centrepieces !
|
|
Paying through your nose (and ear, feet and pockets) for decor is for many people (honestly including us), one of the most annoying things about an Indian wedding. And while we hunt down some absolutely fabulous bang for your buck decorators to feature on our vendor guide , I thought for those of you on a budget - this would be a neat little idea as table centre pieces- if you are having a mehendi function at home, or a cosy little sangeet. Unless ofcourse, people start drinking from the wine glasses. Known to happen in Punjabi weddings . Sigh.
What you need:
How to make this:
The picture explains itself doesn't it? Just turn the wine glass upside down to cover the flower. Place your tea light on the end of the wine glass and ta-da!!! You have yourself an easy- peasy DIY center piece.
What could also work really well- petals strewn about the table around the glasses, or getting a string of pearls to somehow intwine between the wine glasses. You know what these would be awesome for - a sufi night! Just place some cushions around a low table, have these center pieces and sway to your favourite Kailash Kher number
By the way, if you had any DIY touches to your wedding write in to us at info (at) wedmegood (dot) com and we can feature you ! We have an absolutely FABULOUS DIY wedding coming soon - we are so excited for that !
