If you're a bride who's stumbled on this blog, here are 5 grooming gift boxes for your groom!

Start by shaving

Don't shave in the wrong direction as it may cause ingrown hair. You may tend to go in for a closer shave by going against the direction of the hair growth but that irritates the hair follicle and causes a lot of problems like folliculitis or pseudofolliculitis or bumps. Always shave in the direction of the hair growth and not opposite it.

Go for a hot-towel treatment

Use a hot towel on your skin after shaving. It helps to open the pores which will create a more even surface when carving your neckline.

Moisturise the facial hair

Use a good moisturiser after shaving your beard to minimise the redness and irritation. You can also use a mild after-shave lotion that moisturises.

Oil your beard

Once shaved and moisturised, invest in a beard oil. These kind of products act as a moisturising and conditioning agent which not only helps stimulate growth but also leaves your beard feeling softer and looking shinier.

Find a gentle face wash

Growing beard from newly shaved skin can feel sharp and itchy which makes it essential to use a face wash that will help you get rid of old skin cells. Invest in a gentle cleansing or foaming face wash. Use it at least twice - morning and evening.

Comb it through

While regular trimming is good but it’s not the only way to maintain it.

You should consider investing in a beard comb as it really can make the difference between a course, rough beard, and one that that’s nicely groomed. Combing every day will not only tame stubborn hair but also ensure they grow in the right direction and lessen the possibility of the becoming ingrown.
