Urvashi & Rahul are the perfect milliennial couple - edgy, modern with a hint of traditional and coronials! For Urvashi & Rahul, this was a celebration of love, and their culture. With only 50 people in attendance, and scores of others blessing the couple via Zoom, their wedding nuptials were beautiful and full of joy. While they had their own modern elements fused with traditional ceremonies, their outfits were definitely the traditional colours of red & beige! And hey, it is an age-old combination that still works, as clearly evident in their pictures. Urvashi looked like a dream in her red bridal lehenga while Rahul complimented her perfectly in a beige sherwani.

Meet Urvashi & Rahul
Rahul and I met on a vacation through a common friend, 5 years ago before we got married in the month of December, little did we know that it would become a vacation for a lifetime. In the midst, of a breezy windy night, star gazing, sitting on a hill top we drank and spoke for hours, until the first light of dawn. It was strange how we two individuals of different mindset, thoughts and opinions sometimes just connect instantly without any doubts or questions in mind. Though we come from a same culture, however we are two individuals of completely different upbringing and thought process.

The Wedding
From The Bride:
Away from the hustle of societal pressures the wedding was a classic minimalist affair. Our wedding was an intimate scene for a Punjabi Wedding, where only the close ones shared the day in person, but Zoom connected us to the world. This was not a dreamy wedding, but a wedding of celebrating our love, choices, aspirations, decisions and commitment. Since, our wedding is another COVID-19 wedding that happened to be a blessing in disguise. Rahul and I never wanted to be the mere spectators of our wedding but decision takers and makers. From finding the venue, food tasting, shopping we happen to do this all by ourselves, as we spent endless times on video chats with family to finalise minutest of details. The wedding was witnessed by only the near and dear ones, who graced the occasion with their presence and blessings, thanks to the 50 people rule. Being typical millennials yet old school, as traditional as it can get, we just wanted to enjoy our wedding day, make this day important for us first before anything else. We envisioned this to day be remembered by us for whatever went wrong, we wanted to make this our day, knowing this other things would just come around.
