Food at weddings = The sole reason I attend them. And with all the unicorn food ideas and sprinkle-laden sweets around, I'm won't be surprised to know if some new-age trends have seeped into weddings as well. Here are some cool new food trends which are really refreshing for your 2017 wedding, and some come right from the experts!
Coffee in a cone!

Now this one has taken Instagram (basically the wold :P) by storm! Just imagine sipping on some cold coffee from a cone, and then munching on the cone itself, can it get more perfect than that? Genius, right? But you can get inspired by this and basically serve anything cool in a cone and people are gonna lap it up! You can have chicken stuffed in naans shaped like cones or even a cone pizza!
Small is the new big

With everyone getting so conscious about what they put in their mouth, bite-sized food is becoming pretty popular, which allows you to taste everything without filling up your belly!
Mehreen Bindra from Moets Club Class Catering says, "From salads to snacks, lots can be done in mini plates and tasters. It makes the guest feel that the chef's personal attention has been given to each bite!"
DIY Table

There's something so special about customising your own plate of food the way you like it, and a DIY table lets you do just that! From a Mimosa Bar or make your own drink bar to a DIY salad or dessert bar, this one is a great idea. Plus, how cute do the tables look?
Unique Colourful Food

Yup, what you're looking at are called unicorn noodles! Colourful food that pops in nice, bright colours is coming up big time! Simple things made colourful using food colouring is a great idea! From colourful noodles, pasta, idlis to even cocktails and desserts, this just makes everything look nicer and brighter! Plus, you could even match it to your decor theme!

Carts are big guys! From flavoured popcorns to candy and even naariyal paani, they look so rustic and cool!
Mehreen Bindra from Moets Club Class Catering says, "Using carts to make Live street food stations more interesting; Like a Dimsum Cart, Dancing wok on wheels etc"
An interesting new multi-cuisine experience

This one has been around for a while, but we don't mean the usual chaat, noodles and Indian food counters- trying out new cuisines at weddings like Japanese or oriental, which people get to try is also a new trend.
Amit Dua from F and B Catering by Amit Dua says, "Multi Cuisine parties with great display make it look and feel like a complete event. Continental, Mughlai, Thai, Oriental, North Indian, Japanese, all in one is an upcoming trend these days. Guests want to taste everything and go back with a global taste."
