When the bride is the creative head at Rani Pink, you are bound to expect wedding decor that is out of the ordinary. But this neon pink Mehendi may just come in our dreams tonight, it is so darn adorable. We love how all three events were so different in this wedding, and how the bride Anika infused her chic, glamorous style into her wedding day. Special mention to the gorgeous photos by Aviraj Saluja photography who captured all the gorgeous-ness.

Meet Anika & Akshay

"We met through common friends and hung out in similar places and groups. We always knew each other just never really spoke. One day at a bar we spoke for 2 mins and after that the next day we spoke for 15hrs - this carried on for a week NONSTOP and here we are!" says Anika.

The Reception

From The Bride: "I just knew my wedding had to be a reflection of Rani Pink. It had to be glamorous, traditional, out of the box and super dramatic. So keeping this in mind, we created three dramatically different looks but keeping these four key elements in mind. For example - my mehendi was a mix of neon pink with gota. We played out the whole mehendi with no flowers, created our own tassels and worked on every small detail - trucks to textured wall panels to ombre tassels to gota cushions etc. The wedding had to be traditional but again we worked with only one colour red on red with all white flowers. There were only flowers and red linen.

The final party/reception was inspired by Udaipur. We wanted to mix glamour with Indian elements. So we did different patterened flooring all over - black and white checks, blue Jaipuri jaals etc. We used white and gold as our key colours - got fabric woven from Benaras for the walls, big white jaalis and mirror chandeliers to add the glamour bit. The flowers were contemporary in soft blush pinks and the decor came with aqua tapering candles," added Anika.

"The whole wedding had contemporary elements woven in a traditional story for each event. The colour palettes were totally different on all three days- candy pinks to red to cream and gold. From no flowers on the mehendi to only flowers at the wedding to a perfectly stylised arrangement at the reception. Everyday was a different visual canvas.

As far as my outfits are concerned, my personal style is glamourous, chic and comfortable. I like my silhouettes to be traditional. I'm not experimental at all in my cuts and I love embroidery - thread-work, sequins and zardozi. Anamika, Sabya and Manish Malhotra are my top 3 favourites. I also wear a lot of my partners designs - Abhinav Mishra," says Anika.
