Birdcages, Anushree Reddy and lots of florals-really, what's not to love? That's why this Bangalore wedding ticks off all the right boxes for us this weekend. The bride mentions that all her pre-wedding functions had a 'No Indian' dress code just so everyone could relax, and have a bit of a party. Well, a party it looks like.  Major prop to Krutika for the gorgeous offbeat bridal colour, and for not being drowned in heavy embroidery from head to toe! All the beauty of this chic affair captured by  Dhoom Dhaam Weddings Photography.

Meet Amrit and Krutika

"So I knew Amrit as a common friend’s friend who would occasionally visit Bombay (where I was staying back in college). So although we knew of each other’s existence for long, we didn’t really hang out or keep in touch. But it was after this one party that we met at and got properly talking that we actually exchanged numbers and got chatting. And then one thing led to another. Although the biggest challenge in our entire relationship was the long distance bit which continued till we finally got married. (He is from Bangalore and I am from Hyderabad). After a 6 year relationship, when he finally proposed, people (especially my parents) were very relieved! haha" says Krutika with a big smile.

Cocktails & Youngsters Party

The Wedding

From The Bride-to-be:

"Amrit & I were very clear that we should make the wedding personal and fun. I was like, this is the best and most expensive party I'm gonna ever host so I better have a good time. At the same time, I wanted to do everything on my own. So right from the design of the card to the decor - Amrit and I organized everything," explains Krutika.

"Once we decided to have the wedding in Bangalore, we wanted to do it at the Taj West End because it is the most beautiful property in the city. I also wanted the wedding to have a vintage theme with soft colours like pinks and blues and the vibe to be fun and chilled. The wedding was a simple regular sindhi wedding. For the entry, instead of going with the regular phool chaddar, I asked the designer to make me a matching dupatta which my cousin brothers and my sisters could hold. Since I don't have an own brother, my sisters had to be a part of this as well! At night, the cocktail party began with speeches from family and friends. One of my closest friends Varun Thakur, who is a stand up comedian did a 10-minute roast on both of us," adds Krutika.
