Bridal Breakdown: Kriti Kharbanda in Anamika Khanna
|
|
Bollywood brides never fail to display a variety of looks on their wedding, and Kriti Kharbanda is no exception! She recently tied the knot to actor Pulkit Samrat, and she owned every bridal look! From a pastel pink palette on her wedding to a mehendi look that's absolutely gorgeous- we really liked what we saw. Also really digging her fusion Haldi look! Take a look as we list down all the deets that we know for some much needed bridal inspiration for 2024 brides.
Wedding
Kriti's custom Anamika Khanna lehenga, which was not exactly pastel pink, but a slightly more vibrant, summery pink with floral motifs and Rajasthani work was quite stunning! It had shades and hues of pink on each panel with delicate gota work and gorgeous motifs on the scalloped edges. Her makeup was subtle and natural with a hint of pink, with a fairly traditional bridal bun and drape. The layered jewellery was not overpowering the loo, and let the outfit shine. The kaleere by Mrinalini Chandra were also bespoke, yet with a traditional touch, keeping in line with her ensemble.
Chooda
Crushing on Kriti's simple yet striking chooda choices! In love with that lime green Ekaya saree, and the heirloom jewellery! Kriti's caption for this explains so much about her beautiful, emotional choices for the wedding. She wrote, "Naani ma ka haar aur ma ki shaadi ka dupatta! The two things I was sure I was going to adorn during my Chooda ceremony even before there was a boyfriend or a proposal :)"
"It was a magical morning. Riding high on emotions and my heart pounding coz pulkit and I weren’t allowed to meet or see each other before the pherA’s. While we did things our way, a few things were still old school :)
I wish he was a part of this moment too, but sigh, I loved the look on his face the first time he saw these pictures and was bowled over."
Laal chooda and traditional kaleera’s were a non negotiable too. The number of people who tried to convince me otherwise was insane. But I’m so glad I stuck to what I wanted to do and didn’t look back ."
Haldi
This one was a fun one, which reminded us of Rakul Preet's mehendi look! Kriti wore a fiery orange Sharara pant with a trail with an organza pallu on both sides, designed by Ridhi Mehra. Jewels with tiny bunches of pearls on the hath phool, chandbalis and a small mangtikka added a dash of daintiness. The highlight of her look for 2024 brides definitely has to be that beautiful braid! Her hair was braided with pearl strings, which looked very stunning! Her makeup again was subtle and natural, which looked perfect with the vibrant outfit.
Mehendi
The bride wore this beautiful creation by Ritu Kumar, and paired it with some gorgeous jewellery. Kriti chose to wear a floral ensemble: a corset paired with a lehenga and an attached dupatta. Ritu Kumar said on Instagram, "Delicate floral motifs grace this summery pastel look, crafted from lightweight tulle with intricate threadwork and silver zari, giving it a lacey, transparent finish. The lehenga is embellished with salma, dabka, zardozi embroidery, and sequins for added elegance."
She paired this beautiful outfit with statement waterfall earrings, which added a lot of elegance to her look. The makeup was dewy and nude, which complemented the ensemble to perfection. A big fan of this look!
Sangeet
Their Sangeet in Delhi seemed like a fun event! Kriti was spotted in a shimmery blue and silver lehenga which was twirl able and danceable! She kept her jewellery minimal and makeup glowy and natural!
Reception
A trending Gauri and Nainika gown for her reception in a mermaid silhouette that seems to be making a comeback! The printed satin gown was perfect for a laid-back reception, and its a fun look with statement jewellery which was minimal but gorgeous!
