Husn-e-Taa’iraat, or “beauty of a bird", that's the collection that Rohit Bal showcased at the Amazon India Couture Week 2015. It was a magical show with Rohit's signature style in bigger-than-bigger lehengas and voluminous blouses and easy-to-wear maxis. It was really a haven of embroideries - persian and more. The embroideries showcased the natural world – giant florals, exquisite long-tailed birds, and gentler animals like elephants and camels. They were bold, very colourful and took over the entire fabric. The colour palette was the same as last year, from maroons to blacks to golds and beiges. And what we loved was the attention to detail, the sweet refined cuts and the fabric used . The beauty was in the details - the gorgeous hair turbans, the necklaces worn as hair ornaments, the gold elephant-motifs and the menswear that really took it up a notch. If you have to really wear a Rohit bal collection, go for the maroon lehengas that pack a punch and menwear that really made you sit up!
