The wedding preps begins as soon as you say ‘yes’! But amidst the lehenga hunting, décor finalization and trousseau shopping your skin takes a beating. You have to look your best beautiful on your wedding day. So we have compiled a list of the most essential beauty appointments to make 10 days before your wedding!

Hair Removal

No one wants arm-stubble on their wedding night, so make sure that you have planned your waxing and threading sessions 4-5 days before the wedding to avoid soreness or any redness. If you think never having to shave again is worth the splurge, then you should consider buying a laser hair removal package a few months before your wedding.

Dermatologist for last minute check-ups

Even if you don’t have any major skin issues, booking an appointment with your dermat is a must! After all your skin is going to go through a cake-walk of makeup, your dermatologist can help with preparing your skin for the same. They can also be the ones you call to zap the zit with cortisone shot if an unexpected blemish pops up the day before your wedding. Plus, you could get that one big facial a week before your wedding so your skin is glowing.

Hair Spa

All those trips in the hot sun for your lehenga shopping take a toll on your hair. Take your hairstylist about the type of hair you have (dry, oily or frizzy) and they will customize your treatments accordingly. Healthy hydrated hair looks gorgeous on a bride! Also, cut your hair 10 days before if you want the right length and get the spa done 4-5 days before the wedding.

Dentist

It sounds cliche, but your smile really is your best accessory on your wedding. Schedule an appointment with your dentist for a quick teeth whitening and smile deep-clean. Don't get any major fillings or dental work done - it can create a problem just before your wedding!

Makeup Trial

It usually takes a few tries before your makeup artist nails your ideal beauty look, so book your appointment! It's also important that you're specific: matte or dewy? Bronzy eye or smoky eye? Don't leave anything out and if it doesn't look right, speak up! They'd rather you be honest so they can fix it. The last minute makeup fixes should be addressed - so you're all ready for the big day!

Body Polishing

While your face, hands, feet and hair get all the pampering, the rest of the body should not be neglected. Body polishing will get rid of all the dead skin, moisturize it and leave it with a healthy glow. Also, our recco: try the Turkish Bath, it's amazing. It's a whole day of bathing and spa so now you can flaunt that backless choli easily!

Mani- Pedi

Between statement sandals and close-up shots of the ring exchange, feet and hands need to look picture perfect. Your best bet is to get a manicure and pedicure a couple of days earlier to ensure chip-free lacquer. While we are a fan of gel polish’s staying power, which will last through the honeymoon, regular polish can also work—provided you have it on hand in case you need a last-minute touch-up.

Hair Trial

Especially if you plan to wear extensions. Remember to bring lots of pictures and take lots of pictures. You should settle on two options (including a rainy-day option if you're prone to frizz) and photograph multiple angles of each. Wear each for six hours to make sure they hold.
