Beautiful Bangalore Wedding With a Vintage Touch!

We are in love with Benarasi lehengas and if modern brides know how to wear them in exuberant hues and beautiful silhouettes we are in heaven. That is of course one of the first things that this pretty Bangalore wedding gives us, a beautiful bride who charms us with her outfits - from Benarasi to cocktail dresses to a Kanchipuram silk. More brownie points to the pretty Mehendi decor and the sweet little details at the wedding - photography by 1plus1 Studio was a delight as she deftly captured this union in the most candid, fun way possible!
Meet Deepika & Damodar
"I'm from Bangalore and my husband is from Coimbatore. My best friend from school (who is also my husband's first cousin) introduced us. We got along like a house on fire from the moment we met and never played hard to get, so we knew this was going to work. After a few months of dating, we met each other's families and set a date for the D-day,"says Deepika.

From The Bride:
"I always wanted a simple and fun-filled wedding. My parents went absolutely out of their way to make sure I had the perfect wedding ..and it was way more than what I imagined it would be. I had all my outfits and jewellery ready and packed one month before the wedding," says Deepika.
"For Mehendi, I wanted to wear something bright and colourful, so I opted for a lime green and turquoise Benarsi lehenga from Usnak Mal which is a beautiful shop. I'd asked all our guests to wear pink for Mehendi, so my outfit stood out all the more. I opted for a traditional kanchipuram silk saree again (from Sundari Silks, Chennai) in blue and pink combination. For the main wedding (muhurtham), I wore a rich red kanchipuram silk saree with a contrast green blouse. " adds Deepika.
"Poonam from Poonam and Mayank Sharma was my decorator at the Mehendi and she did a fantastic job with the mehendi decorations. It was simple yet visually stunning with earthen pots, genda flowers and a hint of quirk. She listens to your requirements and materializes that in the true sense. Taarini weddings at the Cocktail was a slight let down for me, as I had expected more basis the work I had seen. 1Plus1 Studio is the reason I get to relive my wedding everyday. She has captured emotions and wonderful moments so beautifully. It was the best decision having her at my wedding. She is extremely talented and incredibly friendly, and an absolute pleasure to be around," explains Deepika.
