Beautiful Bali Wedding Full Of Dreamy Pastels & Florals

When the wedding is as dreamy as this one, then how can we just not feature it ASAP? Pracheta and Carl's Bali wedding was every bit ethereal and elegant, with pastels and oversized florals ruling the roost. We were floored by the bride's sartorial choices, and the groom who complemented her wonderfully. Their destination wedding was an intimate yet beautiful one, which definitely makes us imagine what a seaside pastel paradise would look like!

Meet Pracheta and Carl

"Carl and I met through our work in Dubai. I was working as a creative project manager for events and he had a luxury perfumery business that we collaborated with for one of our events. Carl was very persistent and I was very out of touch with dating .. Carl’s persistence over several weeks paid off, and I agreed to meet for the first time in person. Having taken precautionary measures, the next hurdle for me was to overcome was Carl’s choice of shirts (however, the balloon shirt from the first date is stashed away in a drawer somewhere). However, after dating, the real test came from COVID-19 lockdowns and learning to live in lockdown. We can deal with anything if we live and love in this situation", says Pracheta.

Carl adds, "In lieu of travel and a dramatic proposal, plans were made, and ingredients were acquired. As the wedding ring-shaped proposal carrot cake took form in the kitchen, Pracheta was kept blissfully unaware (a real challenge in a 2-bedroom apartment). This is a classic case of knowing your customer. The simple knowledge that Pracheta would favour the “yes” slice rather than the “no” slice due to the relative size made this a safe bet."

So here we are four years later...

From The Bride:

Our Indian wedding took place on August 23, 2023 while our legal wedding had taken place on May 30, 2020. Carl and I both wanted to get married in a place we both loved. Bali is very close to our heart. It was our first vacation together in 2019 just before the pandemic. The vision for the wedding was getting a very close group of people to come together and celebrate love our love and Carl and I have a history of hosting so we were very much in our comfort zone. We wanted a small intimate guest list , an open scape with the ocean around us, thus the Surga Villa estate which has been a magical venue. The style and decor has been inspired by our new family member my niece and the love of my life Zahara her name translates to the desert flower. Carl and I met in the desert in Dubai and have grown and evolved into a unit a family. Everything was very personable and close to our heart.

We did four trips to India twice from Dubai in 2020 when we got engaged and two when we moved to Bali in 2022 and 2023. Delhi, New York and Mumbai were our popular stops for shopping. Brands we chose were Sabyasachi, Amit Agarwal, Cult Gaia and Torani. The only thing I would like to suggest is go vintage. For more personal and intimate rituals I decided to wear vintage Banarsi saree from my moms trousseau and it was nostalgic beautiful and the happiest feeling.
