An Intimate Bangalore Wedding With Elegant Outfits And Only Those Who Matter

Love has a weird way of knocking on our doors when we least expect it to. We believed it when we heard this couple's story. Of every place in the world, the groom and the bride met while preparing to fly, well sort of. Can we just go on and say Love Is In The Air? (Okay, bad pun.) Their wedding was a mix of tradition with lots of fun, and we got to see glimpses of a bride who made sure she enjoyed every moment of her wedding- she laughed, cried, was playful- all of which was simply heartwarming! A intimate wedding in a lawn with minimal, natural ecological decor, this wedding will leave you with a feel-good vibe. It would be unfair if we don't give a thumbs-up to Vivek Krishnan Photography for capturing every moment fabulously on his lens!
Meet Tarika And Pranav
"We met at a flight training institute in Florida as trainees," shares Tarika. She adds, "we found each other studying, supporting and learning to fly together and fell in love," and we think that's the most beautiful thing we have heard in a while!
The Wedding
From The Bride
Tarika and Pranav wanted a simple wedding, which was less like an event and more like a home wedding with just their closest and dearest. "We wanted minimal natural ecological decor which blended with nature as it was an outdoor lawn wedding," they tell us.
"The venue we had chosen was Windflower Prakruti resort & spa, Bangalore. We wanted all our guests to stay with us comfortably for the 2 day wedding we had planned. The manager and his team were very helpful and cordial through the entire process of booking, setting up and execution of services for the wedding.
Meena Somani and Poornima Panna were the make up artists for the bride. They both understood the brides requirements of looking natural for the make up and hair. They did an amazing job getting her ready on time and making her look naturally beautiful
Vivek Krishnan and his team were our photographers and videographers. We loved Vivek's unique style of highlighting the moments, magnanimity of nature at our venue, wedding procedure and emotions through a fluidic process of non intrusive capturing.
The decor and wedding planning was done by Best Day Ever headed by Deepika and Dheeraj Shetty. They are a young team and understood our ideals of quality over quantity with minimal impact on nature. Everything was locally sourced and ecologically friendly. The main mandap was all natural and cohesive with the nature around the venue. They helped us get in touch with the best photography, catering and fashion boutique teams as well and helped us choose and pack and deliver wedding welcome baskets and return favors.
The brides attire were from heritage kanchivaram collection of Kanakavalli, and gadwal silk from mandir and a Sabyasachi sari for the evening dinner. The jewelry was from Mangatrai and Shree jewellers.
Grooms attire of silk and cotton kurtas and dhotis were all from a small local store in the city. They were stitched by the a local tailor in the city. The evening dinner suit was tailored in Tailorman. The jewelry were from Sri Krishna pearls and jewellers.
We didn't want to spend any amount on over the top grandeur invites. The invites are just wasted paper and resources for the guests once it's done. So we did the wedding invites ourselves. Vistaprint had a good unique customizable collection of invites. We got it done through the website which was a breeze and also fun to get involved on a personal level," shares Tarika.
