An Elegant Nikkah With The Most Adorable Candid Shots Captured

When the backdrop is as pretty as the Chinar trees of Kashmir, and the bride is radiating the joy she feels in her heart - you are bound to be in awe of the whole celebration. That is exactly what happened with us when we came across Sharika & Ruhan's wedding pictures. The couple was so in-love, and their faith in each other was captured so beautifully by Beginnings For You , that we could imagine being there and celebrating with them.
This Nikkah captured our heart and we bet it will do the same for you once you scroll through it.
Meet Sharika & Ruhan
Ruhan had seen a viral video of mine on Facebook during peak COVID times. The stalker that he is (haha), he googled who I was and landed on my private Instagram account. There he saw that we had a mutual friend, who was actually one of ruhans best friends. He then proceeded to contact the mutual and very boldly (read: shamelessly ?) requested him to “set us up” for a conversation. I outrightly denied not only this but also he follow request. Apparently (as per Ruhan), he had been visiting my Instagram profile every other day to check if I had accepted his request. 3 months later, the mutual friend told Ruhan that his (ruhans) birthday and mine were just one day apart (14th and 15th of October). This led to Ruhan requesting a conversation again, and I thought of giving it a go. Our first conversation was on the 17th of October 2020 and we ended up talking for 8 hours straight. After a couple of days, he was frank enough to express his desire of marrying me, which TBH shocked me. But he took it forward by talking to his parents about me and I realised that he was actually a guy who not only checked all boxes but was also cute (?). I fell for him over our next few conversations and we decided to meet with our parents already knowing! The rest is all history.
The Nikkah
From The Bride:
Our wedding date was the 18th of October 2021, exactly 1 year after our first ever conversation. We chose the date because of its importance to us, and also because it was an auspicious day as per the Islamic Calendar. Our style was minimalist, traditional, and elegant. It was an outdoor and intimate setting with just our near and dear friends and family. We wanted our nikah to be simple and a true celebration of love and hence chose to wade away from extravagance. We wanted it by the lake, under the chinar. But unfortunately, it was raining all night before the wedding day and we were skeptical of the nikah going the way we had planned it. But nothing would dampen our spirits and God chose to be on our side, and almost miraculously the sun shone upon us exactly when the baraat was supposed to arrive and we had a beautiful Golden hour-lit nikah ceremony. It was much more than we expected but everything that we wanted!

Venue: The Nigeen Club
It is on the banks of the beautiful Nigeen lake. It’s a picturesque and serene venue, with a lush garden, overlooked by mighty chinars. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful.

Simran and Anushree were extremely helpful, professional, and by now are like family to us. The pictures were a true reflection of what we felt that day - pure love.

They were open to suggestions and made sure my vision for the outfit was translated into reality.
Groom Wear: Custom-Made from Bangalore
Chhota in Bangalore custom-made the achkan (as per my choice) for Ruhan and also the shoes. The shawl was a pashmina heirloom inherited from Ruhans late grandmother and the Karakul cap was gifted to him by his uncle.
Videographer: The Wedding Filmer
Neha, Kunal, and Jenish were so humble, sweet, genuine and they made the entire journey extremely memorable.
