Airbrush or Regular: What you need to know about bridal makeup !

Looking for Bridal Makeup ? The decision between Airbrush or HD isn't always an easy one. So we made it easier for you
First things first. What is Airbrush makeup vs regular makeup?
So first came Regular makeup- which is the kind all of us are used to. Good old brushes, liquid foundations etc applied the regular way and can make a plain jane turn into a glamorous diva instantly when used right.
Then with the voyage of HD cameras, which capture every little minute detail on your face - there arose a need of a different type of makeup application where all these minute details wouldn't look obvious on camera and give a diffused, super blended look.
Hence - Airbrush makeup made an entry into the market. This is the newer type of makeup where an artist uses an air gun to spray on thin layer of foundation on your face instead of the traditional tools . The result is that the finish is more flawless , specially for HD cameras who capture every tiny pixel . However, do keep in mind that a good makeup artist will give you a flawless look irrespective of whether she uses airbrush or regular makeup- airbrush is just a fine, mist thereby giving a more blended look.
What is airbrush makeup best suited/ not suited for?
- Girls with very oily skin might find it better to use airbrush makeup because it lasts longer and does not slide off oily skin like regular makeup can, and can stay put for 15 hours !!!
- Girls who want a sheer, barely there feel to their foundations should also use airbrush makeup
- However, if you have very bad skin with acne, scars or lines airbrush may NOT the ideal way to go. You can do a regular makeup and top it off with a layer of air brush but saying that airbrush makeup is better for bad skin is not always true. Airbrush makeup is sheerer, and works on skin which doesn't have too many issues.
- Airbrush makeup is also more expensive and in many cases artists may charge double, so look at your budget before making a choice
- Airbrush makeup gives an added radiance to your skin
- Whether you choose airbrush or regular makeup should also depend on your makeup artist- trust the person more than the tools. If your MUA feels very comfortable using airbrush makeup go ahead, but if your makeup artist is more comfortable with traditional makeup then stay put. It's important to use her skill set to the best ability.
Bottom line:Airbrush makeup is nice to have if you can afford it as it gives a more diffused, flawless look , but it's definitely not necessary. Moreover, use airbrush if you have specific skin needs- such as very oily skin and summer months. But don't blindly ask for airbrush without understanding what it means !
