Still trying to decide what we love more- that stunning , carnival theme Mehendi , the beautiful mustard and blue mehendi outfit or the Elephant Polo Match?

Meet Guneet & Kavya

They met through common friends and had an instant connection. After dating for about two and a half years, these two tied the knot recently in a destination wedding in Jaipur!

The Wedding

From the bride:  I was a very hands on bride and completely  involved in every part of the wedding and planning detail. From deciding of the venue, to selecting vendors , card designing,my outfits, my family's outfits, I even made a concept decor presentation for each function to discuss with different vendors. So in the end I pretty much managed to take all the stress possible before my wedding but I loved being involved and taking part in everything.

Our festivities started with a Pakeezah Night where our theme was Sufi-Ivory and Gold and the dancer Kiran from pakistan kept everyone entertained.  We then had an "Indian Musical Carnival" themed mehendi with Punjabi Folk music and lots of vibrant colors followed by the guests playing Elephant Polo! The Sangeet had family performances and Tochi Raina (playback singer) performed as well. The wedding day- in the morning was the most peaceful and serene setting ever- better than anything I had ever imagined. It still gives me goosebumps everytime I think about it and a black tie reception with a Jazz band closed our festivities.

Out of all the events - Pakeezah night was the most fun, it went all till 5 am and got everyone in the party mode for the next 2 days.
I really wanted to go traditional for all my functions while keeping in mind the theme for each. I love Sabya's work and always wanted to wear his lehenga on the wedding day. Mehendi outfit was a very impulsive decision over one of my visits to Kolkata.I fell in love with the newly launched opium collection by sabya just 2 months before my wedding and ordered the reception outfit from that.( it was so last minute that it cam just 2 days before leaving for jaipur) . Anamika Khanna is my second favourite and the blue outfit went very well with the bollywood glam theme.
