Thanks to coronavirus, wedding cancellations have become the norm. People have sent out Change The Date notifications, while some have indefinitely postponed their wedding. However, there are those who have gone ahead and tied the knot, while maintaining social distancing norms and following all rules and regulations.

Bhavdeep & Harkarandeep are one such couple. Their love for each other was so strong, that as soon as some relaxations for lock down were announced, they decided to get married. Bhavdeep wore a gorgeous red lehenga on her wedding, one that she had designed herself. Both the groom and the bride wore matching masks on wedding functions, along with all the guests. Looks like wearing a mask has to be the new norm in weddings too and we are glad this couple took the right measures for everyone's safety.

Paran Singh Photography★ 4.8 captured this lockdown wedding, attended by 35 people, and made sure to give the couple some amazing memories from their most special day!

The Wedding

From The Bride:

We planned our wedding ourself since it was a lock down. Mentioning a few points here about how we planned it.

Decorated surgical masks with stick on kundan, sequin,pPearl etc for my bridesmaids.
Asked them to wear a colour all of them had (sky blue) since we couldn't really go buy new dresses
I made my wedding dress myself. I made a covid inspired sketch where I showed me and my finance looked inside a house wearing masks. While nature is reviving itself. Elephants, deers, birds, peacocks etc. roaming around freely. (Other nature related stuff shown- clean lake with ducks, trees and a lot more greenery) - got my tailors and karigars to work from home and do embroidery with whatever material they had. I also made matching mask for myself.
We kept a foot pump sanitizer at the entrance of the gurudwara where we had our wedding. Made everyone wear plastic socks with elastic and we kept plastic sheets at 6 feet distance for family to sit in the Gurudwara. Post pheras, we had a simple lunch.

Vendor Reviews:

Photographer: Paran Singh Photography
He captured my sister in law’s wedding two years ago and he did a great job then. That’s how we knew him and we are so thankful that he agreed to capture us during lockdown with all precaution. We’re so happy with how the pictures came out and glad we picked him.

Decor: All My Family!
For haldi, my sister in law and brother in law used what ever was at home (her own kaliras from two years ago, parandis, hand painted placard with our names on it, fairy lights, phulkaris etc.) and did a beautiful backdrop for haldi ceremony!
